I created these 2 pieces (slightly different from one another Transcension By Devine Light ) then a title came to mind (btw~it always happens this way for me) the word TRANSCENSION, it fit it perfectly then i pulled it up on google and found this article: Answering the Fermi Paradox: Exploring the Mechanisms of Universal Transcension, © 2002-2007 by John Smart / http://www.accelerating.org/articles/answeringfermiparadox.html / This was the section that stood out to me: / In transcension, once intelligence saturates its local environment, it is constrained to leave local spacetime. It learns how to enter hyperspace, that suspected multidimensional environment hinted at in our string, supersymmetry, and M-theory, and within which cosmologists tell us new universes may be born and other yet-uncertain events may happen. In transcension, advanced intelligence inevitably moves out of our slow and computationally-restrictive spacetime, multi-locally, once it reaches a certain point in its development. The developmental singularity hypothesis is one of several possible versions of the transcension scenario, but it need not be proven correct for constrained transcension to remain the destiny of local intelligence. / In this section i read, i realized this is what i was deplicting, a transformation of this being into a higher state and leaving of this space and time. I just would like to have a rant… Well haven’t in a while so here goes… Some people on the internet seem to forget sitting in their homes that they are moving amongst a huge crowd…. If there is a person in the crowd ready to bash the living daylights out of the person next to them… generally they are noticeable… and action can be taken to protect the innocent… HOWEVER… if there is a person in that crowd, whispering distressing obscenities into the ears of vulnerable or unsuspecting victims while yelling to the crowd that they are the best thing that ever happened to this place… how do you deal with the quiet crimes?... is it the ‘word’ of the victim versus the big ego of the criminal? What of the incredibly generous philanthropist who gives thousands and millions of dollars to children charities and is the closet pedophile…? It is only when they get caught and proven that they are judged and then the victims get the incredibly painful task of having to prove them evil… What of the Scout leader that takes little boys and girls away on camp for sordid reasons… everyone thinks they are great, generous and giving UNTIL that little boy grows up and has the guts to explain why they have been completely messed up since that camp… meanwhile the ‘Scout Leader’ has been living free and causing pain to other for the good part of 20 years… What of the community activist that embezzles money from that community grant for selfish purposes… My opinion is that they should find the opposite of what they have orchestrated… They should be humiliated in some way for their crimes… and punished… On the internet… if someone is pretending to be nice in public but isn’t how does one know until they put their sordid plan into action… that devious thought they could not resist executing… Data leaves a trail… humans report… but that doesn’t mean that the victim should be compromised either… How do we understand if a member is being immoral in the background when they are creating a very positive public campaign… and how should this community react to an obvious public issue… when you possibly don’t know the facts or what has happened in the background with quiet victims and administration. Any ideas, caring bubble community?... how do we manage these creepy situations in public without it becoming a witch hunt and without it hurting redbubble?

Oh my goodness I just got in from a pretty ordinary day at work in the darkroom at Uni to find that I’ve got an image on the home page which is just so amazing. Wonderful even but then see that my total twittiness in losing my film after the recent RB Sydney meet has been exposed to the WHOLE WORLD! Talk about bittersweet. arrrrgah I think I’m going to go and hide under the doona for a bit. I thought only the Sydney people would ever have to know how silly I can be but here I sit in the spotlight with all and sundry going ‘silly old bat how can you lose three rolls of film and still have the gall to walk the streets ‘ Ok rationally I know that as a crime against humanity its probably fairly low down on the list but still. So home page Woo Hoo and exposed as a film loser cringe were are my dark glasses and blonde wig. sigh ain’t life a trick at times.

One panel was produced from darker hues in oil paint and encaustic wax and was built up to the lighter accents of values and lines. The other panel was created in the exact opposite process (starting with larger areas of white and light values of paint/encaustics and layering up to the accents of darker values and lines). In these two abstract expressionistic processes I attempted to create two separate works that represent a paradox of principles, yet together have a similar feeling. They are produced on gessoed canvas boards, with a variety of media- mainly oil paint, and wax, with some oil pastel, and black india ink.
