A lone tree on the South coast of Maui near Lahaina seems to be in danger of being swept out to sea by the ebbing tides at sunset.

been reading about tribal child raising and the benefits, and we know I like birds… I began this art as abstract patterns, bubbles of pattern that transformed when I realised by putting a ‘fork in the road’ to the concentric circles, that I created an eye and beak. Before that, it could’ve been shown either way up. also, it transformed from earthy brown colours, to a colourful bird. ‘Is it art? ‘my teacher used to always question. He’s not here now. He’s just asking the question still! in my head! I like it-it’s bright, colouful and alive.

So this little known place is probably the closest I will ever get to tropical paradise. Its called Wayag, and is a group of Islands off the Western Coast of West Papua in Indonesia. Its quite a story about how I got here (i hope to write it up some time soon), but I want to pay full credits to my friend Simon Mammino for his assistance in getting this shot. Take a bow mate (and now get back to work).

One Heart ~ Hamoa Beach Maui Hawai’i One of my favourite places to be in the morning or evening, on this lovely black sand beach beneath the Keawe trees….it is so beautiful and the sand is luxurious! “Was it the wind that whispered your name or did you call to me from the depths of my soul? This shot was of the jetty over looking the coast at paradise cove resort mauritius .It was almost completly dark when I took this shot . / The shot was a few mins exposure . It was really windy and rainy this morning and had to stand to the side of the camera to stop the wind from shaking the tripod as much as possible and duck in for cover between showers of rain . Beacuse of the wind the image isnt as sharp as i would have liked . I was also lucky there werent any boats tied up the jetty like they normally where this morning . Not to sure what the little island of the coast you can see was called The color of the water there is amazing its really that Turquoise , quite different from the cool and deep blues of Western Australias oceans .
