Ref / with special permission from model and photographer pluschkind I bumped into this fantastic image while browsing the photography on deviant art and the photographer/model was happy to let me try my hand at drawing it. / As you can see though, I ended up painting it. oils on watercolour paper. I’ve never tried that before but i had no black watercolour paint so I thought, why not!? So all I used was black oils and turpentine to get the greys, like with watercolours. / The way the white cuts up the image reminded me of an image we’d looked at in my visual culture class, the artist had digitally erased lines through the person to create white tribal markings. this erasure gave me the idea for the title of this piece. This Portrait is available in my 2009 calendar!

I was having a very interesting discussion a few days ago about modern human sexuality with a very dear friend of mine. She is in the process of writing her own book that will be a big help to empower women of all ages. We were talking about some of the very serious and important information ‘downloads’ that she is getting while in meditation when our conversation turned to funny related thoughts, ideas and stories. This always happens. We can stay serious for only ten or fifteen minutes at a time… if we are lucky. Her thought was this: Women do not understand the power and magic that the right few words can have on any situation. EXAMPLE 1 – Women spend way too much time and money on their hair, nails, clothes, perfume, and makeup before going out on a date or to meet with friends at a bar or club. All of this effort is to make herself attractive to someone. When all a woman has to do is simply walk over to the person that they find attractive and whisper in their ear: “I’m not wearing any panties.” The whole situation magically changes in a second. Less time, less money, and she is in control. My good friend has many more equally interesting ideas and this is a pencil and pastel piece that I did for her as a gift. I hope that she likes it and that you enjoy it also.

In the last weeks, with “Inanna In The Morning Mist”, “My Caduceus”, and “It’s About Time…” I have been working on getting expressions right. This piece was the hardest. Most expressions rely on the eyes and also the mouth to convey the feeling. In this piece with the eyes closed and the mouth pulling on the bed sheet… the composition was going to play a bigger part in conveying the emotion. This time what is happening off the page is as important as what you see on the page. “Oh Sheet…” is an 8×10 in. Design Marker, pencil, and chalk pastel on pastel paper. So many people tell me how the Energy of my pictures move them. I am so honored by all of the praise and the personal stories that are shared. I share with you here a very passionate and emotional piece that Tempe created for “Oh Sheet!...” The power of the words combined with the visual create something that each alone can not do. her body alive with need / open to his every touch / she is …his puppet at this moment / he owns her body / as he keeps it on edge close to… just not slipping over / building the pleasure / knowing the intensity it will prompt her body knelt / thighs parted wide / ankles crossed heart to the mattress / back arched in a long smooth sweep / quivering cheeks held high he fits against her / pressing in / waiting she feels his hands touch and smear over her hips / the grip as he leans away / the heat of his skin recedes her hands move / fingers spread wide like stars / she knows what the next moment will bring then as he fills her again / hips arching in opening her / her hands close tight to hold back the tremor fists closing around the sheets / the linen pulled to her mouth / body bucking back against him head thrown back / all pleasure shown in one simple movement / breath catching in her throat a harsh sound / her hands draw in / as if to silence libertine cries the sexual bliss building / allowing felicity to become euphoria / ecstacy growing sharp breaths ignite wanton embers / into hot licking flames / tongues that gloss and flick inside her her body kindles and flickers / then blazes and vibrates / the exquisite pleasure building she is ready / the tightening inside she begins to slip into the abyss / he stops ….. / she begs softly ’ noooooooooooooo’ that moment on hold again, / her fist presses to her mouth and she bites down, / holding back, breath still rasping in her throat / her body his marionette / the strings halted and as he moves again, / hot hard flesh filling her / her head again arches back in the pure pleasure teeth tugging on the sheet, / mind body and soul owned by him / in this moment. by Tempe
