  • Where I live in Southern Oregon, we are lucky enough to have pansies bloom, in the winter and spring. If they are in a sheltered place, they also like to bloom in the summer. What a feeling of joy to see all of these beautiful little faces watching you as you go by on your way to the garbage can. When you spy them, your mind leaves the garbage behind and you can’t help but smile, for in a world full of garbage, there near your back door, is a carpet of joy! Orton effect applied:

  • I just love pansies, they are so coloring and happy looking flowers. These are some of the plants we bought this year.

  • Gotta love these little pansies. Such a happy flower! /

  • Yesterday we had a windy day and I wanted to take a photograph of this beautiful pansy. The breeze made the flower dancing so I choose a very short shutter speed with the focus on the heart of the flower. I am pleased with the result and I hope you too. Photographer: Thea Walstra / /

  • The pansy or pansy violets are a large group of hybrid plants cultivated as garden flowers. Pansies are derived from Viola species Viola tricolor hybridized with other viola species, these hybrids are referred to as Viola × wittrockiana or less commonly Viola tricolor hortensis. The name “pansy” also appears as part of the common name for other Viola species that are wildflowers in Europe. Some unrelated species, such as the Pansy Monkeyflower, also have “pansy” in their name. Panasonic FZ20

  • The Yellow Pansies were inspired by a picture taken by a friend of her bountiful garden. / It is done in watercolor & I am still having a tough time working in depth perception. / These flowers brings to mind…... / Matt. 6:28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies(pansies) of the field, how they grow. They do not labor nor do they spin, / Mat 6:29 but I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed as one of these. / Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

  • A different look for the watercolor painting of the Pansies. Psalm 104:24 O Almighty God, how many are Your works! You have made all of them in wisdom; the earth is full of Your riches.

  • A pansy shot taken in my back yard. Kwinana Western Australia Olympus E-410

  • One day back in the spring, I spotted these poppies dancing in the breeze among the pansies. This is an acrylic painting on gallery wrap stretched canvas.
