  • About an hour before sunrise on a winter trip down the Great Ocean road. The pre-dawn glow and moonlight illuminates a now some what more crumbled Victorian icon.

  • Waist deep in the water !

  • A happy mistake, a daylight savings miscalculation saw me up many hours before sunrise – I shot this image in the twilight with a 4 min exposure.

  • This small rock pool is found in Cabbage Tree Bay, along the pathway between Manly and Shelly Beach on Sydney’s northern beaches. The sculpture/statue is known as The Oceanids. This image was a 30 second exposure nearly an hour before sunrise with the pool wall and sculpture lit up by a nearby street light. This image has also won a photo of the week at photographer Steve Parish’s Photograph Australia website.

  • This image was taken @ Port Willunga at the remains of the old jetty. On a recent journey back to Port Willunga recently, I’d noticed that many of these posts had been burnt.   • The Beachport Jetty in the Limestone Coast, the second longest in South Australia. The jetty is currently closed for repairs with most of the upper structure being replaced. The railway tracks and handrails have been removed and I believe the rails will be back up in time or the Christmas Holiday rush when the towns population goes from 450 up to about 5,000!!!! A rare chance to get a shot like this before the repairs are finished. Three shot stitch in Photoshop CS3. Canon 400D 18/55 with CIR Polarising filter.

  • A re visit today to the shipwrecked sailing vessel, “Pisces Star” that came aground over ten years ago near the Lighthouse at Carpenters Rocks, Limestone Coast, South Australia. Extremely low tide today and great sky’s allowed for some panorama sets with an old tripod sitting in salt water…. Canon 400D – 18-55 with CIR Polarising lens. 5 shot set stitched in Photoshop CS3.

  • A re visit today to the shipwrecked sailing vessel, “Pisces Star” that came aground over ten years ago near the Lighthouse at Carpenters Rocks, Limestone Coast, South Australia. Extremely low tide today and great sky’s allowed for some close up shots with my backside sitting in salt water…. Canon 400D – 18-55 with CIR Polarising lens.

  • My version of a Thomas Bush Hardy (1842-97). From an 1895 watercolour of Ramsgate Harbour. A panoramic shaped painting, 23” x 10”. / Hand-made, 140lb rough paper. / For sale! Over 20 hours work. Multiple layers of semi-transparent and opaque watercolour, and white zinc gouache for highlights. Viewing in larger size is necessary.

  • Best Viewed LARGE / A bit of work in this one. A HDR Panarama. / Photomatic used for HDR processing. / Did take 7 bracketed images however only used +2ev/0ev/-2ev images. It was 6 images in portrait making a total of 42 images taken, but only 18 used to create the image you see. Also used a neutral density filter. Equipment / Nikon D300 / 16-85mm VR f/3.5-5.6 / tripod / Cokin ND filter / Circular polariser / remote release A Big THANK YOU to those that take the time and effort to peruse my images.
