Chernobyl was an important ship building town. These half-finished boats were contaminated in the accident and have rusted untouched for over 21 years.

The bridges over the River Forth in Scotland. The forth road bridge to the left and the original rail bridge to the right. The rail bridge is now a World Heritage site. A mixture of five photographs taken on a cold wet night. I think it was worth it though.

Pillar point spans it’s rocky headland out like a gift of land reaching to those seeking refuge on the islands. Many people I know from Qld or the like, often find it near impossible to fathom that places of such incredible beauty lie outside of their own state..yet alone in Victoria ! It is no wonder the Prom is the 2nd oldest NP in Australia (after Royal NP in Sydney)and the fact that it lies some 200+km from a city says it all to me…even over 100yrs ago it was realised how incredibly special it is. / / Fuji G617 – no cropping,no stitching. A nostalgic version of the photo below. Usually, I try to use my own images for layering, but this time I added two stock textures from CG Textures and from Princess of Shadows at Deviant Art Position cursor over images for more details / / Finished in 5th position of Top Ten in the challenge A Little More Summer of the If It Doesn’t Belong group on April 28, 2009 During the process, I converted to black and white then to a split tone version from indigo to cream, and liked it so much that I decided to upload it too /

Red hilltops
by zumiI was leaving ghost village of East Coulee (Alberta, Canada) when the clouds to the west opened letting the dusky rays of the setting Sun hit the long rusty hilltops running along the Red Deer river. From the bridge I also managed to capture the mirror image of the sun lit hills reflected in the shallow water. It was a magical display lasting for about 30 mins.
