  • An old ornate door handle panel still attached to a farmhouse door. The knob was missing and the last time I’d guess this was used was back in the late 60’s maybe early 70’s. / NE Kansas, this location most recently was an apple orchard, and even further back in time was a trade route for American Indians and pioneers. / UPDATE! / I found out the building this door went to was the old farm wife’s dance room. I don’t know what it was before she turned it into that…but….when she was still living at this farm, before the 1970’s, she’d drag her children in here and have one play a piano who’s remains are still visible there…and she’d teach them to dance. / Sometimes the untold stories tell SO much!
