Photographed at More London Place, between Tower Bridge and London Bridge. Despite the area being packed with camera-clicking tourists, security accosted me and told me I was forbidden to take pictures. When asked why I was singled out, I was told it was because I had a tripod. When I asked what difference that made, the security man revealed that there was a chance that I was a terrorist casing out the joint. I pointed out that he couldn’t possibly be correct as terrorists not only carry large, indiscreet cameras (mounted on a tripod) but have large, flashing neon signs bearing the word “Please stand clear! Terrorist at work”. I don’t think he believed me, but I reckon he would have if I’d downgraded the neon light to a T-shirt. Canon 10D / 1/250th sec at f 9.5 / 35-135mm lens at 35mm / ISO 100
