Bacchus (Roman Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Jupiter and Semele. Dionysus (Greek Myth names), the god of wine, was the son of Zeus and Semele. • Reality Break
    by Jake Easley

    US$5.27–US$140.60

Picture yourself in this surreal getaway, swinging comfortably in a hammock between the towering palms. Your own personal hideout to take a break from reality. Then you suddenly wakeup drenched in perspiration in the sweltering heat and realize it’s 125F outside…because these beautiful palms are located in Death Valley!

  • The Giving Tree
    by Debra-Lee Sains

    US$4.13–US$110.20

Not sure about this….......it was an experiment with a cross between a holga and lomo effect. Might fiddle a bit more and see if I can replicate the effect more closely. This shot was taken at Trinity Beach in Cairns, a few minutes walk from our old house. Rumour had it that this particular bench had special powers….......if you sat there pondering a problem in your life and the light hit at the precise moment, all your wishes would come true. Needless to say, the light you see here is all done via PS, but I still like the folk tale.

  • Born from the Hand
    by Mui-Ling Teh

    US$3.85–US$102.60

I used tweezers to create the last few folds. I can’t remember how big the paper was, though the wing is 7mm long. So basically I present the creator and the creation where the crane is framed by my fingers forming a circle. We can only understand size, fragility and significance when we compare two things. When we think, for example, how big the world is, we’re like tiny little specks of sand, or even atoms, to the eyes of a God holding the earth in his palm. I did not make this crane and take the picture with the description in my mind; but created it by instinct. It wasn’t easy drawing out my words initially. However many viewers have left very inspiring comments about my work, and for that I am grateful. Thank you. • I was having lunch with my beautiful wife the other day at a rather unusual place, right across the road from my office. Never been there before… it was at the Northern Metropolitan Institute of Tafe and they have the special room on the third floor where trainee chefs get to practice their cooking skills and serve to the unsuspecting public. This was the view virtually from the table I was sitting at… the view was way better than the food!

  • Tsunami
    by Kathie Nichols

    US$3.79–US$101.08

“The warning came too late…..no place to hide. We were down by the beach taking happy holiday snaps when the ocean started to recede. It took me a moment or two to realise what was about to happen. Everyone started to panic…..I could hardly hold a thought in my head with the sound of my heart beating and the adrenalin pumping through my veins. Then I remembered the cave we discovered at the end of the beach yesterday. That would be our only hope as we started to run. As we entered the cave I took one last look as the Tsunami hit….” Macro photograph taken from a palm tree, overcast day, camera set on aperture priority. Macro photography of bark, rocks and flowers are my passion. Always looking for that special ‘something’ thats a little bit different. Hope you enjoy my story and photograph!

  • Enigma I
    by Kathie Nichols

    US$3.71–US$98.80

Took this macro photograph with aperture priority, late in the afternoon, it was getting quite dark so I used a flash on this shot! Just love Palm tree bark, this one had been burnt at some stage creating the charcoal sections. I have a few more fascinating photos which I will be uploading soon! / My passion is macro photograhy. I love to find hidden landscapes and abstract art in the bark of trees or in rocks. I also am quite partial to macro floral photography!
