  • another one of my students’ drawings. She brought this in to add to the “Wall of Fame” I have, with their photo that’s been photoshopped by me. I think she likes horses… :)

  • Isabella is one of my students and this is a picture of her horse. Obviously in real life it doesn’t have wings! She loves horses almost as much as her dogs. / ~ / When I’m teaching her, I often have to steer the conversation back to maths-what would you rather talk about? your favourite pet or maths?! (what would you want your daughter talking about, when paying for her lesson? hmmm. I have to balance!!) At least I can put her picture on the wall, or t-shirt! and enjoy her passion

  • Horse in the pasture…for all of you equine experts feel free to tell me the brees of my horses…i am an admirer but not knowledgeable. / Thank you!

  • Palamino?

  • I did this picture for the pure pleasure of drawing what I think is the perfect arabian. / Colour pencil, white gouache and black ink on grey mount board. Can’t remember the size, think it was about 44cm x 66cm. 1998. Sold Has been featured in the ‘Equine Art and Photography’ groups.

  • This is my sister-in-law, Sharyn and her beautiful girl, Maxine. One of my early experiments with Photoshop.

  • Angel and Iris (left and right respectively) are mother and daughter. They have a pretty tight bond and I sat in the pasture (rain soaked) for about 3 hours waiting to catch this opportunity! For fun, I have also posted a picture of Iris eating my tripod while I was changing lens! This image has sold as a framed print in Tigert Art Gallery, Vermillion, South Dakota.

  • Out with three camera club friends on a birding safari that had limited success so we drove all over the local rural area and came across this unusual scene of a derelict old silo and its Palomino guardian, against the grey, overcast sky and just had to make a stop. Even though the colours are warm due to the lighting and slight under exposure for effect, there was a stiff chill breeze gusting across the land. To prevent blowing out the sky, as overcast as it was, I metered off the sky and locked that then focussed on the horse. Photographed in the Belmore River area east of Kempsey , NSW, Australia, about a forty five minute drive north of Port Macquarie , on a spring day. Fuji S9600: f/8 @ 1/300sec. / Lightroom 1.1 & Photoshop CS3. Visit the Animals collections in my BubbleSite Gallery for more wonderful horses. Enjoy! HORSES / (Click the links!) Guardian #2 / Watchful / All the Trappings /

  • My whole gang lined up along the fence near the barn and the colors and lines of their backs made such a pretty landscape I had to get this picture before they all headed back out to pasture. Front to back: Jack, Angel, Rock and Iris. “Ponies” by Jeffrey Bullock Somewhere out on the prairie / Is the greatest cowboy that’s ever been / And when he lays his hands upon the ponies / They shudder with an understanding skin And he says ponies / Now ponies don’t you worry / I have not come to steal your fire away / I want to fly with you across the sunrise / Discover what begins each shining day When the storm clouds in the west / Are quickly gathering / The ponies they run wild there / Before it rains You’ll see their sleek dark bodies / Brightly gleaming / You know the fire is flying through / Their brains And he says ponies / Now ponies don’t you worry / I have not come to steal your fire away / I want to fly with you across the sunrise / Discover what begins each shining day
