  • In remembrance of Benazir Bhutto.

  • Most know of Pakistan as a third world fanatical Muslim country full of terrorists. I have lived in Pakistan, my parents were born and raised there and though it has its many faults it also has its many beauties, its many treasures and many things that I love and cherish. At Work is a picture of my maid, Sakina in her small and modest home where I captured her hands as she used two rocks to grind herbs and spices to make that nights meal. This is a method still used in homes where a mechanical grinder is a luxury and not a necessity. According to Sakina and her mother, herbs ground on a rock maintain the rich flavors that are often lost by all our machines.

  • This generous man let me take a photo of him while sitting in a very humble store, but it was the photo of him having enough that i like best, and that is the shot you see here.

  • Further story telling of Northern Pakistan. Personally i love this shot as much as ‘Skardu Man’ It’s the dop of this man i adore. the way his face disappears into the background.

  • And what a beautiful state of the art facility it is. As the sunrises, the traditional space-age classic moghul architecture compliments the towering megatropolis skyline of the vast and beautiful Lahore Skycity. This is one of Earth’s most beautiful cities and if I had to choose personally what could be one of the best places for the new headquarters buildings I would also gladly choose Lahore Skycity. -

  • Who’s says women are not equal may as well join the dark dOveside. These Hijabi Heroines might just surprise us by saving the planet from all out avain aniallation by putting the dOvemaster in his place. The bigger they are the harder they fall.

  • Wishing you a friendly salaam alaikum from 22,000’ above the cloud tops of Peshawar!

  • Zabber Dast!, noting like pakistani craftsmanship…...........way ahead of anyone’s time.

  • A Pakistani man threads together rose buds and petals to sell in his little flower shop. In most Islamic and Hindu cultures it is customary to put a necklace made of roses around a persons neck at times of weddings, birthdays and other celebratory occasions.

  • I asked him, “Baba (old man) can i take your photograph?” a slight nod. I clicked away and showed him some shots. Indifferent as he was, a sublime smile slipped out of his lips and faded. Then I clicked this one and a couple more. Post processed in monotone b/w. His eyes and wrinkles holds a lot of stories. Seen at the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai, the saint in Bhit Shah, Interior Sindh, Pakistan. A lot of people visit the shrine hoping their faith would bring them good luck, happiness, success and content at heart in their, otherwise, troubled lives. Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (1689–1752) (Sindhi: شاھ عبدالطيف ڀٽائيِ ) was a Sufi scholar and saint, and is considered one of the greatest of the Sindhi language. He settled in the town of Bhit Shah, Sindh, Pakistan. His most famous written work is the Shah Jo Risalo. His shrine is located in Bhit and attracts hundreds of pilgrims every day. • Early morning scene in a bird sanctuary near Larkana, Pakistan.

  • A young girl stands to see the action at the Border Ceremony. Indian / Pakistan Border. The border ceremony was an amazing experience. The chanting, the marching.. the passion. The mixed crowd on the Indian side of the border… the segregated (male/female) crowd on the other side.

  • The Jinah Monument in Karachi, Pakistan

  • I was escorted through Karachi by a driver, who refused to let me out of the car for safety reasons. This photo was snapped while moving along a desolate road. It remains one of my personal favourites, capturing something of the raw, desolate essence of how I experienced my short visit to Pakistan. Many may not like it, but please let me know if you see something in this picture that also moves you.

  • A unique feature of many regions in Pakistan is their elaborately decorated, colorful buses and trucks. It is fascinating how ordinary things are transformed towards status symbols and showpieces, providing brightness in an otherwise stark environment and society. This was taken in Karachi, fresh after a thunderstorm. / FEATURED in This is Relevant Group 17/10/2009 / TOP 10 in Mood & Ambience Group “Outdoor Art” Challenge / FEATURED in Travel and Adventure Group 03/11/2009
