Saturday night/ Sunday morning 23rd September 2007 Well, I have finally managed to put two of my paintings on RedBubble but I had trouble loading another two tonight. I lost three nice comments through my messing around changing things, so very sorry about that. Only half of the painting would go on and after I tried several times, gave up ! I’m going to bed ! Try again tomorrow when my old slow dial -up connection might work a bit faster. It is probably tired like me ! Good night folks !. / ArtyBethy

Today I started a new painting. It’s just something I remember from childhood. / I used to walk by this place when I got off the bus on my way home from school. / I remember that Mr. Walker always had a field of corn and he also had pumpkins growing by the edge of the corn. And in the fall the leaves leaves from a big tree which I dont remember what kind of tree it was would fall on the dirt road and an occasional / whirlwind would twirl them around. Man I miss those days! / Be back soon.

in my disgrace of looking in the mirror at my face. / i up the pace and go with haste, that i may leave this place. / go without a trace, be erased, afterlife embraced / no longer in the chase, moving on from lost faith / these are the thoughts of a basket case dreams of death and silence riddle me / visions of breath and science belittle me / because what cannot be explained doesn’t even have a explanation / based on fake facts of the past / history is a lie, the pictures i’ve seen were painted… / just like today’s painters can paint imaginations they’ve seen / but that does not make the painting, a painting of something real! / my imagination riddles me with such questions, / as if, if there is “A” god / why would he let others worship another “GOD”? / and where did this god come from? / it/he/she/whatever had to start from something! / blah the reminisce of my mind is a scary place… so i shall right about it

Last year I did a series of mascots that I was paid to paint… now I am going to do two more for the school. I plan on putting the money that I get for this into my savings account and I am not going to touch it, it is going to be for college and the only way I will touch it is if I absolutely have too. So I think that is a pretty good plan… Can you believe I will be moving into my dorm on July 8th? This is going to be so wierd, so different, I’m nervous and excited… I’m just glad I will have a lil money set aside so I won’t have to worry. And I am going to be working full time soon enough at work, I’m going to try and be a tight wad with that money and only buy what I absolutely have too.

When I want a smooth glossy finish on a painting I use acrylic mediums. / I like to use these pouring mediums best, Self-Leveling Gel and Clear Tar Gel. The Self-leveling is my favorite. I find that if you spray your surface with alcohol before pouring your work will avoid most bubbles. You can do this between layers while each layer is wet to keep your work mostly bubble free. The Clear Tar Gel and Self-Leveling Gel works best with water added if you are pouring in a dry. You probably will not need to add water in wet cooler climates. Its best to pour a few thin layers after each layer dries. These Gels dry clear. Pour slowly and have your work angled slightly.
