What are we to say about how the divine eye sees our world or we may see the divine world in comparison to our own. This thought inspired a more surreal feel to the finished product. Took this a couple of weeks ago of my little girl at the beach and realised it’s potential this morning when I started to play with the colour, light and layers so of course I though that I would share!

/ Sailor Girl is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, I used ink, pastel, and some acrylic…..inks are mainly black, acrylics are mainly white, you can see the canvas texture showing through the pastel, which gives it a nice textured appeal I am really into sailing boats, hope you like this one :D Here’s another one available in a print at last!

My first try at painting the sea; I thought a big wave would be nice to try. Just finished it. / Acrylics on canvas, 2008, 40×40 cm It’s a 4 cm thick canvas frame and the sides are painted, so there’s no need for a frame really.

An abandoned pleasure craft up on blocks at St Marks, Florida … hunting around underneath the hull I found some wonderful art work. I see waves rolling in one behind the other, with the dawn sun catching the one about to break on the shore.
