  • Local Monterey wine merchant, hoping to boost business, asked me to make some paintings for him. I had a great time doing these three posters, this is a close up.

  • Oil on Canvas. / Boy oh boy did I have fun doing these signs. / If you stick around in the business long enough, people actually start asking you for your work. I was given free reign to make paintings for a local wine merchant near the Monterey wharfs. So be of good cheer, all you kids out there, the hustle starts to slow at some point, you can begin to count on three squares a day, and every now and then somebody seeks you out for the work you’ve been busting your butt over for your entire life.

  • This emu stuck his head up out of a salt bush at Lake Mungo one morning as I was roaming around the dunes. He had a good hard long look at me (queer bird!) then took off….. Lake Mungo is about 600 kms west of my home town and is a dried up lake bed (30,000 years ago) surrounded by sand-dunes that range in colour from pale cream thru to the deepest orange. The layers contain remnant fireplaces and bones from early aboriginal campsites as well as fossil wombats and kangaroos. The painting is 75 cm x 75 cm and is a bit of a lark!

  • This is only a small work from a recent exhibition. It sold at the first show which was a great result. The finished size is 30 cm x 30 cm and is a mixed media work mainly executed in acrylics. I got inspired by the colours this year…..it’s was an amazing autumn leading up to a very cold winter. Indeed I sit here now with the snow and rain both pelting down outside…..brrrr!

  • A series of organic, earthy, original paintings meant to be displayed together, or hung in groups of 2 or 3 or alone. These paintings were created all together and represent a feeling of earthy elements, organic compositions and natural, earthy colors. Paint layering process is used in these paintings to create many layers and depths of texture. This particular painting “Organic Elements” Series II is a subdued feeling with earthy colors of teal, patina, golds, greens and blues.
