This image came about in an awesome way for me. Two weeks earlier, the model, Margrit, was telling me a bit about her life. She’s lived and travelled in many countries and taken lots of opportunities. She has also achieved great success with her photography. Several weeks later, I had an unusual chance to photograph her in an old train – the perfect location to reflect her life’s journey. / In Australia, Margrit has achieved her LAPS and AAPS, and is the only West Australian women to received international photographic honours AFIAP. She’s a perfectionist and it shines through in her work. Visit Margrit’s website

I finally got to paint this from my digital manipulation, Don’t Give Up Searching . I’m so pleased with the result. I used a few different textures and oil paint and made the eye brown rather then blue so that the image was unified in pallet to suit a college project so that I could paint this particular piece without abandoning duty.

The tide was out leaving the wonderful colourful fishing boats in St. Ives Harbour for it to return. Now I have turned it into a photograph painting, what are your thoughts and comments on it? I found this old truck sitting by the side of the road near Haast Pass in the South Island of New Zealand. As you can see it has been painted many times in it’s life. Looking back through the layers tells a story. / Canon EOS 400D…18/55mm lens / /

I just had to revisit the abandoned farmhouse where I shot the image The Tenant / / / / This is a view from the kitchen looking in from the outside… the windows are all beat out of the house and you cannot get to the kitchen from the inside because the floor is unstable and you’ll probably end up in the basement. So I had to improvise and go outside to get this shot. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / / More In This Series / / / / / / / / / / / / /

The tide was out leaving the wonderful colourful boats in St. Ives Harbour. In my original shot on the site I cropped the buildings out as they distracted from the boats but I wanted to leave them in this time as I believe it has added something to the shot. Now I have turned it into a photograph painting, what are your thoughts and comments on it? Despite it’s many years of use, this contraption still stands out in the field, its paint matching nothing in its organic surroundings. Also interesting is the farmers-ingenuity for a chute handle, a simple hand-lever that a farm-hand walking alongside can operate to open and close the seeder.
