The gorgeous red wall of a chinese Restaurant (“the Bamboo House”)in Melbourne caught my eye. It was also very glossy after a recent downpour of rain. Captured with my Pentax K100D camera.

I TOOK THE LIBERTY TO LIVE IN ABJECT POVERTY WHEN i DIDN;T HAVE TO WHILE A YOUNGER MAN. I LIVED IN A PALAPA ON THE BEACH AND COOKED OVER A FIRE IN THE CORNER OF MY SAND FLOORED ROOM. I SLEPT IN A HAMMOCK AND ATE INDIGENOUS FOODS AND SMOOTHING FOR BREAKFAST EVERYDAY AND GOT SPIRITUAL RIGHT AFTER BREAKFAST. I SPENT A LOT OF TIME IN THE HAMMOCK AND READ MANY LATIN AMERICAN POETS AND WROTE AND WROTE. I LOVED MY LIFE AND NEVER WOULD HAVE LEFT BUT FOR THE INFLUX OF TOURISTS THAT CONTINUED TO TRY AND BEFRIEND ME. I PREFERED THE MAYANS. I WAS AT PEACH AND LOVE MY LIFE. WOKE TO A LOVELY BREEZE AND BEAUTIFUL YOUNG GIRLS ASKING ME IF I CARED TO BUY FRESH STRAWBERRIES AND THEN FISH IN THE AFTERNOON. A LOVELY LIFE

the next in my current series of really old hand coloured photographs. this one is one of three and follows this one I posted yesterday Yeh Yeh #1 / the method of colouring it is exactly the same….. lots of ink and cheap paint with lashings of food colourings and a bit of a slap about with a kitchen scourer and hey presto…. a very colourful mess with no readily apperant meaning or purpose except to look pretty and just be itself in perpetuity…......:)

I was out doing a night shoot around the Kwinana industrial area last night with a group of Perth photographers. Had a great night, despite the night getting off to a wet start. A bit of light painting along the train tracks. There was a train that was unloading a bit further up the track at the grain terminal which had been sitting there for a few hours, But as soon as I started to do some photography on the line, the train started heading down towards us! LOL EOS 500D.

If we examine this image. There is mystery and questions abound. A magicians cube suspended somewhat over a, empty wine rack; hands on the back of the chair suggesting someone hidden, a butterfly in a most unusual place perched and waiting. an empty chair; a flashlight turned off, but ready for use, perhaps to shine light on the mystery of the scene.
