  • Acrylic on canvas, blended with images in photo shop. I took a photo of an ally window through a store front a while ago in Seattle. It reminded me of an old black and white movie. I could just feel the tension of wondering what or who was inside. The scene had a feeling of loneliness. As if the person living there might be a recluse. I can relate to that at times. I had been waiting for something that would work with this shot. / In the mean time, I did this acrylic painting. I was thinking of posting it, but the title wouldn’t come to me. I love the textures and colors but I had a strong feeling that it needed more. / The painting and my image of the window seemed like they were meant for each other. / But then it needed one more element. / The bird had been perched on the wire above my house. He almost seemed to be posing for me, looking in all directions. The sun was at a perfect angle to highlight his breast. I guess I needed his photo as well. I hope you like the blend and the mystery of the bird and window. / /

  • I found these lovely flowers on a hot summer day many years ago while in Pueblo, CO. I have found many cities have wonderful little parks that have lovely landscaping. These little beauties were begging to be shown again. I still remember the hot breeze floating around me as the traffic moved behind me while sketching. Created from a sketch and painted in Photoshop. This had about 12 layers. It took about 7 hours to complete. Featured in: / Impressionism Cafe Dec 2009 / Yellow Two Dec 2009
