First Tree was Featured in Lifestyles Magazine as part of an article about the Artists of the West coffee table book I am also honored to announce my painting First Tree was a part of the Rialto Towers two week art exhibit in Melbourne, Australia in of July 2007 Acrylic and pastel on illustration paper. (1995) This is truly the first tree I ever painted, the need to paint and create was something brewing so strongly inside I had to do something about it. Yet my resources were very limited, I grabbed the only paint I had any access to, a can of my father’s black spray paint, I sprayed it into the lid of the can and used the only paintbrush I owned a cheep nylon brush from a water color kit and created. I then finished my work with the only two pastels I owned brown and black. / Necessity is the mother of invention, or maybe it’s that there is more than one way to skin a cat. (Sorry cat lovers) At any rate I grew up in a home with very few luxuries but I did have a passion to create, always, I had to feed the creativity. So this is a very special piece to me and I hope to you as well. Down through the dark trees, you came and saved me... views: 3424 / favs: 52 Completed 2004 age 18 I was inspired by the Japanese artist Hiroshi Senju, who tends to limit his colors in his paintings. Sometimes he paints an image where the background is the complimentary colors of the subject. His style is simple but at the same time intense, where the foreground stands out from the complimentary background. Medium: Watercolors This is a painting done in my sketchbook. The paper isn’t watercolor paper, but at least more durable than regular printing paper. Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

/ / / / Original pencil drawing “Topiary Teapot” About the Art / A pencil drawing coloured digitally, an elegant geisha enjoys the simple pleasure of her garden. The teapot topiary is also a fountain, you can see water pouring out of the spout and a sprinkler at the tippy top.. :) Inspiration / The inspiration came through my parents, who have a topiary teapot and a topiary sugar bowl in their own backyard, the also told me of an amazing topiary garden they visited in Tassie recently. / / Here is the “teapot topiary” in my parents’ backyard, they are sculpting teapots and sugar bowls….there are lots of fun things in my mum and dad’s garden !! Even the Cheshire Cat and Tinman have a spot in the sun there :)
