It seems to rise from deep within us…. / yet maybe even beyond us…. / a sadness that defies our understanding / or our very will, / a sadness that comes from a place outside of our own existence… / that engulfs us indomitably. We who walk the Earth so gently, / know that this connection, / stronger than the gravity that holds us to her, / brings with it the knowledge of her pain / and the infinite lifetimes of sorrow. / Is this the source of our unknown sadness? This ancient wellspring from within the heart of the Earth… / wells up and breaks forth, flowing through us, / the tears of eternity, the pain of the ancient ones, / a sadness that knows no bounds, / to be set free through us, through our hearts and eyes, / and opening us to receive the flow of awareness, / healing and a renewed potential for life.

One of my twins in front of the same building as seen in another one of my pictures titled, “Hideaway”. Considering the colors, I was trying to get a happy shot. However, he was upset because he wanted to go take pictures of a baby gopher with his own camera. I told him to just act as he felt and snapped this shot. Well, that is, after he said “This is the last one, Mom. Then I’m done”. Sometimes you have to let them call the shots. ;)

I have not stopped thinking about the works of / LisaG and her newest piece called Sad Tree it got my mind and heart juiced up! SAD TREE _Beside a waterhole / a sad tree was planted seasonally / it leaned forward in a spirited attempt / to soulfully drench an act of love it did it all / without shame smoke often filled the air / the sad tree / was the last of its breed it had seen a fair amount / it had danced the last dance all that was left was to / take care of its bounty no more travel / c’est la vie a railway line sang blue / as the willow / spoke to flesh and blood flesh ran / to the rose bush without bud / asking for no reason why must I hang my head? having a relationship with someone with mental illness can be very taxing. This is just a vent on being the one trying to interact with the one suffering from depression and/or bi-polar disorder. / It is so hard trying to balance the want to be with someone who is not there much of them time…wanting to love them, wanting them there...and the plain, hard fact that they cannot be alot of the time due to their illness – medication or not.
