Now in her wise woman aspect she returns to the underworld with the energies of the earth to rest and digest the years growth and lessons.The nights grow longer in the dark grip of winter untill the Sun is re-born at Yule (Winter Solstice) and the Goddess will return re-newed and virginal at Imbolc (Feb 2nd)

I painted over a lot. i created several layers for the hair and the dress, the same technic : paint brush, smudging a lot, various sizes and colors. I use a lot blend “screen” layers, i duplicate them, change the brightness ad set them to “screen”. BIG brushes for the backgrouds, like blurred flowers. How to change the colors? Easy : I often use the varition filter. And i blend. Infra red image of an ancient Oak tree hidden in the valley of the White Leaved Oak, Malvern Hills, England. The tree is thought to be about 1,500 years old and grew from an acorn of a true albino oak which is said to have grown in the area many hundreds of years ago. The Oak is located on the site of ancient earth works and is comonly thought of as being once an ancient place of worship for the Celts and Druids. It is still visited today by local Pagans and Witches and often decorated with offerings of ribbons and crystals.

One of three aspects of the Morrigan, goddess of war. Macha feeds on the heads of slain enemies. Was going to add some celtic tattoo work on her face but liked it better this way. Felt by hiding her eyes, it would make her more mysterious and dark. I have many photos of myself in a cloak and though not from the side, used myself as a loose model. Crows because they tie in with the Morrigan and they are one of my favorite animals. Sister of Badb, Morrígan, and possibly of Nemain.As a tripartite goddess of war, Macha was one of the three aspects of the Morrígans. Macha died with her husband in the Second Battle of Mag Tuired (Moytura); they were killed by Balor’s destructive eye. She was once known as Macha, the red war-goddess.
