  • What can I say…it’s a padlock. But it’s a piece of Dad’s beloved Green Head, where salt, wind and sand create their own style of art. For enquires about canvas prints, or photographic prints larger than Redbubble options, please contact me via bubblemail

  • I loved the colour and texture of this old suitcase that I spotted in Bo’Ness Railway station in Scotland. Bo’Ness is a small town on the banks of the River Forth which is home to a very well preserved steam railway. The old station has been extremely well preserved as an early 20th century train station. This photograph won 1st prize in Stirling and District Camera Club’s Annual Print competition for 2008.

  • An old padlock on a door to an old chest in a small historical display in Augusta, Western Australia. Taken on holdiay March 2008. I loved the ancient look to the padlock with the bumps all over it.

  • Atop mount Emei, one of four sacred buddhist mountains in China, a couple or two friends seal their partnership for eternity by locking a padlock on the summit and then throwing the keys in to the abys. / the locks then remain forevermore, and even though their names have rusted off, they will be permanently joined in eternity.

  • Don’t know if this still works…. RAW capture, f/8, 1/125, aperture priority, spot metering, ISO 100, manual WB.

  • padlock that has been forgotten

  • I believe the key to peace is goodness, kindness and love…and—despite the usual hint of negativity in my work—I actually believe that positive messages are more powerful.

  • I have never opened this lock since I have owned this property. I don’t even have a key. I often forget it is even on my old garage but found it an ideal candidate to be part of my padlock series of paintings. It was painted using Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper. The coarse paper and thick grained paint help to make the metal on this piece come to life. The original work is 7”x5” in size. /

  • One of the Beach Huts at Dawlish, Devon, England, all locked up for the winter months, and hoping that we get a Summer next year. Hope you like it. / Thanks for looking. Best Viewed Large. View My B&W Gallery. Pentax K110D. / f/4.5 / 200 iso. / 1/180 second.

  • Another peeling paint attempt – this is a follow on from hinged from last week. I hope you like this one too. 2 more in the set:
