Our obsession with product quality can be dangerous. When people receive their orders they normally dance around the room and sometimes let off fireworks inside. The steadier ones among RedBubble customers just put a picture in the buyer’s booth. We aspire to produce the best print on demand T’s in the world. For us it is about quality of final output not maximizing number of T’s produced per hour. John turns strange shades of puce if the colours are not as close to perfect as it is possible to make. And, of course, if you are going to obsess about colours you want to make sure the garment itself is the best in the world. I have a $50 T that I think is just re-badged version of the American Apparel T’s we sell. Check out the detail in fit, stitching and fabric on the Bubble T’s. Freud will tell you to “let the past go”. But not many RedBubble calendars will be tossed at the end of the year. We wanted them to be (almost) as good as a framed print and they cut-the-mustard. I use the cards to promote RedBubble because they are little affordable pieces of art. I am not alone in thinking this. The wall art is made to be good enough to hang in a gallery (its printed on archive quality materials). In your home it should delight you every day until your children inherit it. We aim to produce remarkable products and obsess about every element. You are proud of your art and we honour this with our dedication to reproducing it. Inevitably sometimes things will go wrong, things get damaged in shipping or a size is wrong. We will never accept a bad customer experience and will do everything possible to make it right including a full money back guarantee. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- And finally, RedBubble is converging on 100,000 members. If you have graphic design skills or just like working with fruit check out the challenge here. Martin (aka Pilgrim)

This is image is part of a series called Recycled. I used a flat bed scanner to make images of objects and materials we regularly dispose of. Artist Statement Pollution, global warming, excess and abuse are all topics that we deal with daily. I am very concerned with these issues at moments and yet, as the rest of my culture, I tend to look away or excuse myself from the responsibility of dealing with them. In this project I seek to materialize this process of ignorance or neglect. / Often times we see these detrimental issues as things to make news and conversation over, not things that we need to invest in or make changes to. We find ways to make money from the negative actions we have already committed rather than making effective, global changes. / In a way, I carry out this same process in my images. I turn something used into something new and beautiful. I compose trash into an image that we want to look at and admire rather than feel embarrassed or ashamed of. / My images are meant to be pleasing to the eye. They are new visions of everyday objects. However, they ARE trash. This creates tension. Something that is supposed to be thrown away and hidden so no one has to look at it is displayed in a positive light and very large so that you want to admire it. It is this confusion and contrast that I want my viewers to experience.
Everywhere we look we are surrounded by piles of useless information.. and small print.. should we read it all to make sure we don’t leave ourselves ill informed or worse ? Ignorance is no excuse when it comes to the law. You know if I don’t fill in the paperwork and get my image copyrighted it might be stolen.. and if i don’t get my vehicle licensed it might be towed away.. / My meter is constantly turning.. how many units have been used today ? / How many vitamins or calories do we need to be happy ? And the TV tells me everyday we need to know about events in Emerdale, Afghanistan, the Big Brother House, and Tibet ? They released hostages in Columbia yesterday and it rained before the pound rose against the dollar. / Whats the score at Wimbledon ? In case I am asked ? I must recycle because the planet is dying. My interest rate has gone down ! The lovely female weather forecaster tells me I need to know there is high pressure over the Atlantic.. the traffic on the M25 is bad today and there are delays after an an accident involving a 71 yr old which is causing long delays for anyone waiting to use the bathroom.
I’ve been meaning to do a Chocolate Shoppe for a long time now! / see all the Dragon Chef series here /

Here is a lovely Christmas present for you, all wrapped up with pretty red ribbon. Actually it began life as another out of focus (no flash) photo of the municipal Christmas tree at the St. Pete Pier. It had such a wonderful abstract feel to it straight off the camera, that I though just a little sharpening and contrast enhancement would be enough. But then … Then it inspired me to gift wrap it for you to go under you tree, on your wall, or in the mail as a cheerful greeting. Digital photo shot with an HP Photosmart R818, without flash.
Everything in the world comes with packaging.. so why not Art ? I like the idea of buyer participation or even DIY art.. and would enjoy it if “you” make this into a box and send me the picture ! Also here’s a deal for anyone interested in unusual collectibles.. buy two of these prints and send them to me. I will sign one and return it to you.. I will keep the other for my own use ? When I am “even more” internationally famous in a few years and my works are fetching £50 squllion each.. you can say “I knew him.. and emailed him about his Art box.. and now I am rich because of it !” (DISCLAIMER : This artist may not become even more internationally famous.. and buying his work does not guarantee you will become rich.. you “probably” will though. The value of art can rise or fall.. you will lose your house if you do not keep up repayments) (For those of you following my “Andy’s new world consumerism” thread.. read on.. so now you have a package for your product.. all you need now is the right paperwork / to process your order.) /
Our body is our package during lifetime. In my zazzle shop you can find the same design showed on different models, colours and the backside printed with logo and instruction. Plus they print larger and their quality of printing is very good!
