It flows into nearby St Mary’s loch (with its thriving sailing club) past old Tibbieshiels inn, hostelry and overnight stop for walkers on the southern upland way crossing Scotland. Overlooking the north end of the loch is a monument to James Hogg – the Scottish Poet known as the Ettrick Shepherd, friend and contemporary of Sir Walter Scott. Taken 4/3/08 (untouched) with a pocket fuji finepix A500 (there is a 2nd loch of the lowes further north in Perthshire, complete with osprey viewing centre – but you can see the wonderful fish eagle hunting here too if you are lucky!) My first ever feature on the home page ages on 23rd April 2008 and what a party that was…LOL See also : ‘i am a rock’ and ‘LoL’ loch of the lowes

The lupine in parts of Grand Teton National Park are quite extraordinary at just the right time of year. This little pond is ephemeral, and is the perfect mirror for sunrise over the Tetons. It’s worth the wait to see this lovely scene! This is a view of La Corbiere Light House in Jersey, CI, that I discovered for the first time this summer. This has become one of my favorites. I look forward to going again next year. I love seaside skies. They can be so romantic and sometimes mysterious, and the sound of the waves crashing upon the rocks or the much gentler shore line. This was taken on the way upto Alcock Tarn in the lake district (national park), UK, a lovely morning, we started wearing full wet weather gear and by the time we got to the top most things had been stripped off as we were far to sweaty.. Anyhow, this is another shot of the Grand Canyon taken this Spring during our road trip. Have a great evening. Whitby Abbey taken at 4:30 am (yawn). The first light of the day from the rising sun gave this amazing glow to the stones of this ancient building bringing it to life. Whitby is a wonderful seaside town along the North Yorkshire coast of England. This is a fascinating place to visit. This is on the west coast of Tassie at a little fishing/shack village by the name of Temma. Its about 30 km south of Marrawah and as far as the gravel road goes south of there along the coast. Elk down from the mountains to feed in the meadow. Storm clouds clearing, and the sun rays from the mountains just thought it was all so beautiful. Just an amazing sight had to stop and get this shot. I took this shot in the Northern California area, better known as the Sierra Nevada’s. Who would have thought you could see such great wildlife in the wilds of California. This photo was taken on Hwy 395 near Lone Pine, not far from Bishop. I just think this area is so beautiful and looks different in every season. Today was great with the clouds and the lighting. I used my Canon EOS, Rebel XT, and the lens was the 18-55 mm. This shot is as is.
simple but I think quite nice and effective, just another sunset really….....Jen
