Taken inside the former Operations Room of the now-abandoned Red Cliff Radar Station. The ladder actually leads up to a section of the second floor that has no other discernible access. The ruins are in complete disrepair, but are used frequently by both hikers and paintball enthusiasts. Reloaded as it wasn’t showing on activity lists! Having tried to get her to pose for me and failing on the whole, I gave up and she started playing with her NDS… well i grabbed two scarves she has, which were freebies from the local Wok Buffet Restaurant and managed to get them to stay on her head and snapped about 10 shots whilst she was playing, every odd shot I had to say DS down as it was getting higher and higher and was in the picture! Well this is the result and I actually quite like it! Natural light through the window. Aged 8 years. Nikon D40 18-55mm
Chloes Piccolo flute needed some attention – and before it gets to loved and finger marks ALL over I thought I would have a play – the sun was a winter sun coming in through the window but not other lighting except to change settings on the camera. Hand Held no tripod used Another Instrument Chloe is teaching herself – not that I am a proud parent – but the determination and love of music I can be nothing else – she has Talent with a capital T!! Not content with the Flute, teaching herself guitar, she also is determined to play Piccolo and my parents bought her Pan Pipes and a Peruvian Flute for Christmas – they are on her to do list also!! Hopefully both our passions will make a good pairing :) Featured in Still Life Fine Art and Food Photography 05/11/09 Canon eos 400d with canon 50mm f/1.8II lens / Focal lenght 50mm / Iso 400 / 1/125 seconds / no flash fired / as is from camera Sets of Two 186 views

This is one of the portraits that I have clicked, which I personally consider to be my best… She’s my sister, Bindi… The red dot on her forehead is called Bindi… Bindi is a symbol of happiness, joy and being married and prosperous… It is an un-detacheable part of Woman of India… I clicked this photo after a small ceremony at our house which was meant to celebrate the anticipation of the child which she would soon give birth to… It is called Baby-shower… The joy of being mother for the first time is something that only the mothers would know… and that joy and those feelings start with the day she comes to know that she’s pregnant… And then the joy speaks out loud on her face… the glow, the wide smile, the sparkles in her eyes are symbols of the joy which can never be matched with any other worldly reasons for utter happiness… Camera: Canon EOS 300X Film SLR / Lens: Tamron AF 70-300mm TeleMacro / Aperture: f/5.6 / Shutter: 1/125 Secs. / /
