Kundalini is a psycho-spiritual energy, the energy of the consciousness, which is thought to reside within the sleeping body, and is aroused either through spiritual discipline or spontaneously to bring new states of consciousness, including mystical illumination. 65 years ago many young men answered the call to free Europe from an evil empire that was called the Third Reich. Many unfortunately made the ultimate sacrifice during operation Overlord or D-Day and the many months to come thereafter. Godspeed my fellow Veterans.

I have to say that I am a little dissapointed that RedBubble staff has not made any mentions of this rather historic day. I realize that there is no particular commercial value for RedBubble to honor this day, but shouldn’t we in some fashion at least honor the millions from multiple nations that give artists the freedoms to express themselves? I sent this inquiry to RedBubble staff: Perhaps as a fellow veteran I’m putting too much into this, but I sure was hoping that RedBubble would have honored D-Day in some fashion (perhaps with features right on the homepage)? We all are artists, but sometimes should remember the folks that gave and sacrificed so much, so that we can continue to express ourselves in each’s own artform. Just a thought, I consider RedBubble a Global community, and D-Day certainly was an event that affected multiple continents. We should at least make some sort of tribute, don’t you think?
