Well this is the shot that made it into the 2008 channel ten weather calendar, so I’m pretty proud of that.Getting this into the calendar was my first… ‘public’ recognition of my work so this is a pretty special shot to me. it is lightning over Adelaide looking down from Mount Osmond. It was taken in December 2006 and featured on the following nights news broadcast.
Mounted Print: / Framed Print: “Watching Over Me” has appeared as the Avatar for the group “Animal Kingdom”. Great as a card, too: Mother giraffe keeping an eye on her baby. Non-photographic digital image, this is a photomontage, the sky is a seperate photo from the giraffes and the ground on which they stand. I managed to capture this small leaf bud just as the last remaining tiny section of ice was melting!
Spotted some horses in a field on the way to work yesterday, the sun was just coming through the mist, had to go turn round and go back to have a look and came away with a couple of nice shots. There was a thick frost on the ground, real crisp winter morning Thanks to Richard Shepherd for the title.

Image captured this afternoon on my walk around Uluru. Having been thoroughly drenched by yet another stormy shower (I had to wrap the camera in a plastic bag), I was amazed to turn around and find this beautiful view as the rain cleared and the sun returned. Uluru, Friday 7th November 2008. [Creative Effects: Contrast adjustment, Omni Spotlight with Photoshop]

Taken with a Canon 50D, Sigma 17-70 lens at 10mm, F5.6, shutter speed 1/60 second, ISO100, tweaked in Photoshop Last night I experienced a wildlife spectacular I have always wanted to see. This shot is of thousands of Starling dancing in the sky before they settled down to roost in the reedbeds at Marton Mere (Blackpool, Lancashire). There were many more starlings than this at the end of the night maybe 40,000!!! Blackpool Tower is in the distance. Please view large
