The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Title says it all :) There was a huge pile of leaves to choose from and I found this one on top of the heap. I never took closeups of leaves before so I discovered something I never realized before…....The colored shiny sides of the leaves held little or no droplets and the back sides of the leaves held all of the tiny droplets perfectly. Never knew that :)

Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end.
