I love this shot. The Wife and I were doing the down river canoe ride. I had the long lens and this beautiful bird flew up on a dead tree branch to show his stuff I guess. I pulled up the camera and the river was gentle for the capture. Lucky and happy too.. I decided to try to clean up the old slide image a bit. 6-11-2008 Perfect To Hang In The Den

Prague seen from Petrin Lookout Tower (Petrinska Rozhledna), Czech Republic. More than one year ago, I’ve got fascinated by some overlay works presented in various PS fora. Last year, I found about RB and soon could admire beautiful composite works of e.g. John Edwards here at RB. Inspired by many of those images here at RB or elsewhere, I’ve been planning to put my hands on some overlay work too, but I only got to it in recent days, ultimately inspired by The Wilds Of France by onefourseven (thank you, Mat, both for inspiration and a link to textures!). / This composite is my first result on the theme, composed of my original photograph and three textures from cgtextures.com. Comments and suggestions welcome! Original photograph: May 2008, Canon EOS 300X, Sigma 28-135. Post-processing: retouch, BW conversion, curves, sharpening, sepia, color adjustment, shape cut, filter gallery, overlay by three textures from cgtextures.com with adjusted brightness/contrast/levels/color, color adjustment, blend modes; final file: 24 layers, 5540×3693px, approx. 1.5GB, color profile conversion 10min, saving time >5min.

Australia’s second largest bird of prey, they are found right around the edge of the Australia, up through south east Asia to India and China. Outlook is the first photograph that I have sold through RedBubble. Thanks so much to Shane Booth, it is such a compliment, especially when you look at his exquisite work. The view to the 45 metre high lookout, from one of the treetop walkways, 25 metres above the rainforest floor, at The Otway Fly located deep in the Great Otway National Park. / It may have been uphill climb, but only a very gentle gradient and definitely worth the climb up that spiral staircase to experience the breathtaking view !!!
Illuminations of energy / Bringing fantasies into reality / Nightmares into perspective. / Hopes drowning in faith, / Ascending to the surface. / Gently bleeding away illusions, / Exposing light from within / Immortal fires endlessly burning. / Manipulated for one purpose. / Casting out hidden darkness, / Only fear and truth is left behind.
