  • Best friends no matter where we are.

  • The ancient stone circle at Callanish on the Isle of Lewis in The Outer Hebrides is over 4,000 years old and one of the oldest such structures in the world. Though smaller than Stonehenge it is considerably older and is awe-inspiring to visit. Normally seen in sunshine, here we have a photograph taken beneath an umbrella as a storm passsed overhead giving this magical place an altogether unworldly quality.

  • A shot of some flower stems and buds that reminded me of space and the cosmos. And then of CS Lewis and his Space Trilogy, for some reason. I have yet to read it. But I love the name of that book. Please see my Etsy listing for this image – and purchase a pearlescent metallic print of this mysterious image. This photo is seen in two of my calendars – please take a look at them! / Everyday Mysteries A Bouquet

  • 2007 / 8.5×11 ballpoint pen and prismacolor marker on 11×14 bristol.

  • Digital collage of 2 paintings It is a representation of the inner and outer self.

  • Seascape image taken at Dail Mhor, Isle Of Lewis. This place never ceases to impress and you can always get an image no matter what the weather. Probably my worse ever trip to the Western Isles in the Outer Hebrides. Virtually no light the whole time, it rained virtually ever minute and the wind was blowing the rain into horizontal direction that made it impossible to get any photography done. / However, this one I did manage to get and was so chuffed with the result. It is a 13 second exposure of the waves crashing into this small cove. Location Info: / Dail Mhor or Bagh Dhail Mor / Nearest Town: Carloway, Isle Of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland / OS Grid: 121600,945145 This is an updated image from the original uploaded. There were several aspects of the scene that needed to be attended to (i.e. a rock cloned out on the extreme left) so I took the plunge and made the adjustments. I think the scene is now stronger due to these adjustments. This image is no longer available as an open edition

  • SpaceKid travels the galaxy encountering the strangest creatures both strange and bizarre! Despite spending his days traveling the cosmos, all the while documenting his incredible adventures with his trusty visi-capture, amazingly the lad still manages to make it home in time for dinner – ensuring that his parents never learn of his true space faring nature.

  • Another in the fractured B Grade movie themes…this is a parody of the 1953 / 3D B-grade movie…Catwomen of the Moon. / Available as a poster, print, card and T.Shirt The storyline is roughly a race of stunning catwomen, the last of an ancient civilization plot to steal a spacecraft from an expedition from Earth….the party of guys think they’ve found paradise…..won’t tell you more but it’s a lot of fun with reviews ranging from highly imaginative, great fun with a box of popcorn to why did they bother…but I’m glad they did as it’s a hoot. / Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited. / if you enjoyed this work you might like / Lust in Space / Catwomen of Mars T-shirt /

  • Another early morning walk with the dog… As I was trapsing through the dark woods to get to this secluded spot, I reassured myself that the dog would scare off any large beasts. And when the dark woods got darker when my flashlight burnt out, I reassured myself that my car would indicate to searchers that I was indeed in this forest. • Have you ever wondered what sights await far from the shores of Earth. / Out beyond our Milky Way, out there beneath distant suns. This is what I think of when I write my stories for my images, for I see in my minds eye the wonders that lie beneath those suns. And with those thoughts try to describe their majesty. / Its really an incredible view and my words fall short, yet they await…............... / Out there on the very edge of a galaxy, far, far, far, away.

  • Every 300 years or so the planet Hale’akala glows red with anger, it is then time when offerings are made to the Goddess Pele.
