  • Alpine Tundra Sunrise Location-— Mount Evans visitor center in Colorado, elevation 11,500 Feet Description: This shot was hard. Dang hard to take. Not from a photography standpoint but from a serious lack of oxygen standpoint. Over 2 miles up….surrounded by Bristle Cone Pines (one of the oldest living things on earth, only seen on Mt Evans…several thousand years old) this Alpine Meadow made for quite an ideal location, when I wasn’t huffin’ and puffin’ and getting very dizzy from walking 20 feet! lol I had to stop several times to catch my breath. This is the edge of the tree-line, where very little was behind me, the oxygen is to thin for things up here to grow. Used my Minolta 18-200 DT Lens on this shot. —-—-—-—-—— / More of my work can be seen on my website at http://jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. • A lovely image of red sumac in autumn, lightly silhoutted against a gorgeous blue and pink sky, with touches of green and purple in the distant low foliage. This design also available as T-shirts, titled “Sillouette”. All artwork is © Rhonda L. Hall, All Rights Reserved. • I doubt most people are even aware that the Eastern plains of Colorado is actually in Tornado alley….the summers out here can be not only dangerous but deadly as well. Generally I try to stay away from this part of my state in the late spring and summer months…tornado’s just scare the heck out of me! Though I must admit, I would sure go chasing them with with storm chasers, and it is my understanding that for a $100- a day, you can take a trip with them doing just that. I may have to do this next summer, camera gear in tow :) I captured this on a late summer evening, oddly enough looking east, the opposite direction of the Sunflowers Fields I photographed. This supercell caused some havoc some 75 miles away from me, and later in the evening dropped down several twisters. However, what got me was the light, and how the whole storm was reflecting the sunset, even though the sun had already set. It is amazing to think that even though something as beautiful as this in nature, can also be deadly. • This is probably the last lotus bloom of the year. The bloom lasted one day before the cold rain knocked all the petals off.

  • Acrylic on canvas.

  • A water droplet on the petals of a mum… the colors and reflections in the drop were amazing I couldn’t resist… : D

  • First Light of The Lord Watching this sunrise come up in Rocky Mountain National Park was akin to witnessing paradise unfold before your eyes. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and stunning sunrises I have seen in a long while. The way the Alpineglow reflected against the mountains was amazing, the color changing ever so quickly, it seemed to change color as fast as I could hold down the shutter. / Hope ya all like it! • This reminds me of gummy candies.. I think it’s the color. I was also craving gummy candies while editing this. So that explains a lot..hehe.. I took this some time in the fall when these berries were still on the tree in my front yard. Enjoy!

  • This one is my most favorite. I love the original, as well as this version. I will upload both. I just love her to pieces! PS She is wearing UGGS!! LOL OMG, today I had Kaylie and Little Jakey in the studio! I got some great shots in there. I wanted to try my strobe through a shoot through outside this cool looking mini brick wall with grass around. I just love these pictures of her! Sorry guys, I will probably upload a few of her from this session. It’s actually been awhile since you’ve seen some new stuff of Kaylie, the DIVA! She is 5 years old now and as sassy as ever! I hope you enjoy these pics, comments and/or suggestions are welcomed! Canon 40D, 50mm F1.8, shoot through umbrella.

Linaji 2009 All things are possible if we start right now to believe that here in this moment is our POINT OF ATTRACTION / That no matter for how long or what has been going on that does not seem to work can change in an instant if we understand that everything that can ever possibly happen can only happen at this point in time. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

  • Model – Aiko

  • Captured in rural Boulder County, Colorado….let me just say this was honest to God unbelievable to photograph. I had to handhold these shots because of my bum knee and well, the lightning was going crazy right above me. But I managed to get some dang nice shots off. This being one of them. I am really happy with this one, I debated about a square crop, but in the end I figured why the heck not, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right folks? Minolta 50mm f1.7 Lens / ND4 and CPL / Lightroom & PS I hope ya all like it! / —-John
