This is my entry into the Canon Photo5 comp for the tealight candle…a bit silly, but it was all I could come up with!
So after my grisly death last week, Mrs. Flibble had a go at sticking back my shredded body with some domestic strength wood glue. Apparently it took her quite a while, and she tells me she only had a few bits left over. I think she did a pretty good job, although I’ve yet to try out all bodily functions. Anyway. After a quick jump-start I was left with the arduous task of recharging my brain back up to 30 percent. Any more than that and things can go horribly wrong. You wouldn’t like to see me when I’m 31 percent, let alone 32. Splendid. A couple of points of note: This photo was excruciatingly painful to make. I really did clamp that clip to my ear and it has a mighty strong spring. Lit with two flashes: main was from above camera left through an umbrella and second was from bottom right reflected off something spangly for a bit of fill. Wide-angle lens about 15cm from gurning idiot. Blog: www.idrinkleadpaint.com
. / This one is really at its best full size … which I’ve included down the page a little ways! I’m not sure exactly what this was … a house … or a shed? I have a shot of it I took last winter in the snow … and just couldn’t resist giving it another try with the fall colors!! The really funny part … well, not funny … odd … is it’s located at the bottom of a hill … almost like a car caught some ice or something, went a bit airborne and landed smack dab on top of the roof!!! Of course, I’m pretty sure that didn’t happen. Well, you know, pretty sure. Located in Pavia, Pennsylvania. Shot October 12, 2008 with Nikon D40x, 18-135mm lens, and the polarizing filter. A bit of Photoshopping done for atmosphere. And for fun, of course!! /

Aerial view of a wreckers yard, a field of dead machines, bent metal and broken glass. A modern suburban landscape, I always did think that trash was beautiful.
