Rideau Falls, Ottawa Canada (pronounced Ree’-doh) / Taken in March when it was about minus 25 degrees and FREEZING. Had to climb across super treacherous icy paths to get to these….as the main access was closed. The wind was bitter cold . The noise from the power of the falls was scary too. What was I thinking?!!! Canon 400D / Sigma 10-20mm

One of my early forays along the backwaters of the Ottawa River, Ontario, Canada, just west of the Capital. Came across these fellows fishing along the banks. Taken in 1954 with a Voightlander 35mm.camera, probably Kodachrome ASA 10 film as near as I can remember. Scanned at 4000 dpi with a Canoscan 4000OU scanner in 2004.

‘Twas the night before Obama arrived in Ottawa, Canada for his first official international visit, and the Capital had just been hit hard by a freezing driving snowstorm. Because of a recent bus strike some die-hards were still cycling through the winter. Taken near the War Memorial and Parliament, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Feb. 19, 2009 Fuji S9500, ISO 400, 1/20 s @ f2.8, tripod mounted.
