My dog Otis is playin’ the taiko and I’m jammin’ on the shamisen =).

When i was a wee lass i would lay on my back on my Grandparents porch at dusk and wait for the bats to fly over… There were thousands of them and it went on forever. I loved the silhouettes and the colour of the sky behind them as the sun set. I stayed there until the last few bats flew across and they all disappeared. It was a really happy time for me as a child, just watching everything fly past. There was nothing to worry about, everything was beautiful and calm while i laid there. Sittin’ in the mornin’ sun / I’ll be sittin’ when the evenin’ come / Watching the ships roll in / And then I watch ‘em roll away again, yeah I’m sittin’ on the dock of the bay / Watching the tide roll away / Ooo, I’m just sittin’ on the dock of the bay / Wastin’ time So this is my other something different comp entry. I’ve never designed anything from a childhood memory, this is one of my few ‘cleaner’ shirts, and i feel like its a lot more feminine and delicate than everything else i usually do. Plus ive never done anything with bats on it – but i’ve found a sweet PD image that im going to kick around for a little while.

Sometimes when you have to have a donut, you HAVE to have a donut. Emmet* and his grumpy cat, Otis, have embarked on a quest for a tasty morning snack. Emmet’s Teacup Racer features a teaspoon handbrake and back propellor (in case of flood). The parasol sunshade with aftermarket compass just add to the luxury. Otis is being towed behind in his Teapot Buggy with turning wheels and spinning propellor because, let’s face it – cats can’t drive. Besides, he wants to keep an eye on the fascinating Fish Transport operation overhead. / *Actually my great uncle Joe, as a child. This original artwork is copyright Ramona Szczerba 2008. Otis, our 2 year old Corgi, gives me this look all the time. He’s trying to telepathically tell me something. If I don’t pick up on his thoughts, he gives me a little MMMMMM throaty sound. Sooner or later he gets / what he wants, then contently lays down next to my chair and keeps me company as I create on the computer.

The ostrich is the largest living bird. It stands from 7 to 8 feet tall and weighs about 250 to 350 pounds. They are flightless and actually don’t bury their heads in the sand. They can live up to 50-70 years old. Gunnedah, NSW. My son will tell anyone who’ll listen that I run like one ô¿ô
