I AM NOT AN ARTIST I AM JUST A MAN WHO PAINTS.L.S.LOWRY).... I have been painting as an amateur artist on and off for many years.I have over the years developed a very unusual use of colour and content, which I now know from experience appeal to many people, Including individual collectors and dealers. Newcastle upon Tyne England has been a hotbed of heavy Industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution, most of which has now gone forever. A lot of my paintings are recollections of youthful images of the period, late 1940s and 1950s. They are inspired by local naïve and primitive pitmen artists I am also an admirer of L.S.LOWRY, and the great American artist EDWARD HOPPER .AND GRANMA MOSES among others. As some of you know I am having a bit of a pre new-year overhall today. I found this among some of my work. I thought I would share it. It’s very rare, because I only did about 3 artworks between 1997 and 2006 (LOL – seriously)! This work was done in mixed medium and happened when a friend suggested I try get back into creating artwork, so here it is! Needless to say I am very grateful to my friend who got me back into my passion! Thanks Shaun.

Collage of dress patterns, canvas, skrim , calico, acyrlic paint , graphite and stitching The collage is on board which has been painted, PVA glue was used to stick the pieces, shallac varnish was also used.

these girls are based on the paper dancing dolls we used to make as kids. they are painted using acrylic paint and embroidered some have bead work. They are all individual and the work (although not in this picture) comes in a white wood frame.

hmmm I bought 3 new characters from renderosity today…I couldn’t help myself… I love them! I gotta do more with them..but this is my first render with all 3. done completely in daz studio.. the background photo …is mine. taken from a local church..at a graveyard.within walking distance from my home. I did the blood under the door using picnik ..and the crow was using picnik as well..

Zewditu was adopted by an Australian couple but they are keen for her to know her Etheopian background and any relations so they return to Etheopia to do work at he House of Grace every year. / This was a pastel painting from llife. on burnt sienna colourfix paper. Given to Zewditu’s adopted family. / It was used on a DVD cover to raise money for The house of Grace.
