  • If you fold one thousand paper cranes you can have any wish…..

  • I’m a big origami fan and hae made a “lucky 1000 carnes” this year… so thought I would design a t-shirt too

  • From a series of unfold of paper origami.

  • Hiroshima, Japan…a schoolgirl created the first 1000 cranes for peace, now wreaths of cranes arrive every day in Hiroshima.

  • This is my original origami design (or “ori-plastic” in this case). I had to help set up a dinner with a Japanese theme and I was in charge of the dishware. I decided to fold them, and the only way they could be waterproof was if I folded them out of plastic. If not for the bubbles, it would probably be difficult to see that there is water in this cup. The inspiration for this design came from origami flowers since they are so symmetrical; hence it was suitable for the cup. Also see “Bubbles”

  • This is an image of an origami flower.

  • Paper crane chains in a Japanese temple.

  • Vietnam May 2008 – 3 of 15 paper cranes offered on the back wall of the Buddhist temple high in the Delta mountains

  • The realm of soft delusions, floating on the leaves / On a distant shoreline, she waves her arms to me / As all the thought police, are closing in for sleep / The dilly dally, of my bright lit stay / The steam of my misfortunes / Has given me the power to be afraid And in my mind I’m everyone / And in my mind / Without a care in this whole world / Without a care in this life / It’s what you take that makes things right Porcelina of the oceans blue In the slipstream, of thoughtless thoughts / The light of all that’s good, the light of all that’s true / To the fringes gladly, I walk unadorned / With gods and their creations / With filth and disease / Porcelina, she waits for me there / With seashell hissing lullabyes / And whispers fathomed deep inside my own / Hidden thoughts and alibis / My secret thoughts come alive Without a care in this whole world / Without a care in this life / It’s what you take that makes things right / And in my mind I’m everyone / In my mind I’m everyone of you / You make it right / It’s all allright / You make it right Porcelina of the oceans blue ‘Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans’ – Smashing Pumpkins

  • This is part of a series that I’m starting called “for the love of…” I took a £20 note and folded it into a heart shape – the instructions on how to fold were once shown to me but having forgotten I had to hop onto youtube to find out how to do it again!

  • Watercolor, sharpie, paint pen.

  • Still being creative with the origami stars, they are just so adorable. / I also decided to include my school work which is all in this very very heavy full folder i have to cart around all day. / I fixed the colour, the contrast and the sharpness. / It just shows a different view really.

  • Origami Cranes are something I do for stress relief and just to make beautiful things.

  • I am still looking for a good black cat design. So, in the mean time, here’s some sushi-to-be, or bait, which ever way you wanna look at it. I am sorry that I didn’t number the steps this time, but I can only count to nine in Japanese.

  • Yes, I know they are little stinkers, but this one is kinda cute. If you make the design, please send me a bubblemail and let me see it. i will try and put it on this page.

  • This one is hard! I have quadruple checked it for accuracy, against several designs, and it seems ok, but it is driving me nuts! Good luck!

  • Flower

  • I spotted this crane origami at a store front in Ginza, Tokyo whilst I was on my holiday. It was the only item under the spotlight in the store front despite all the expensive jewelry… I think it stands to show us that good wish (paper crane is a symbol of peace and hope in Japan) is worth more than the trinkets themselves. It’s the thought that matters guys :-)

  • My arrangement of Ninja stars (made by my daughter). It was hard to get the stars in a stable position and still show the 3D effect. The black stars are made from 140gsm cartridge paper. The others are made from 80gsm craft paper. They are on a base of corrugated cardboard. Taken with Sony Cybershot 4.1 digital pocket camera.

  • Another version with a green world background instead of the Bubbleworld. © 2009 Anne Hale.
