Japanese Gardens in Portland Oregon. The gardens are maintained perfectly, making them such a joy to take pictures at.
this is for my girlfriend kellie cranmer here on rb / she was just diagnosed with breast cancer / and i wanted to be a part in sending her prayers of healing / thanks / ♥t Up from Lincoln City, Oregon / a Beverly Park Sunset / high upon a cliff / overlooking the ocean / the trees seemed to dance LET US NOT FORGET, / WHEN YOU SEE THE COLOR PINK / YOU SAY A PRAYER FOR THE CURE / AND FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN IT’S PATH i called this image dance / because to me, and many close to me, / it appears as if these trees are dancing on the edge of the rocky cliffs / overlooking the ocean- standing on top of the world / and i can’t help but hear the sweet words by faith in her song / “i hope you dance…” you know, i just saw the sisterhood of the traveling pants last night and it was such a sweet reminder of how delicate life is~ / dance while you can, because you don’t know what tomorrow holds and remember that when all is oh so tough, and you feel the weight of all that has been taken away, and all the injustice- it is that pain that makes the good things in life that much sweeter…...... ♥t
Just before the storm came in and sent us scurrying down the mountain for cover.
It was at about this moment that the snow started to come down in earnest and we feared we wouldn’t make it down the perilous road. Well, in a controlled manner that is… I’m sure we’d have made it down if we let gravity, near zero visibility, slippery white substance under wheels and hands trembling erraticly on the steering wheel have their way… sobs
Vast rows of deciduous trees can be seen in perfect columns, displaying their autumn attire, at this tree farm in eastern Oregon. Tree farmers sow rows of trees in varying stages so they can be harvested at different times and therefore produce a constant yield to maintain a consistent gross. Eastern Oregon October 2007

It is a quiet autumn day. This creek is low on water and the current is not real swift. Further down it empties into the Rogue River and there the current is swift and very strong. A canoe has broken away from it’s mooring and is starting to drift down stream. The couple that were canoeing are strolling in the park and don’t realize that anything is amiss. Perhaps this little canoe will end up in another world of swift currents, rocks and buried trees. Yes, it is a brave soul that will save this little canoe now! / A composite of 2 images, autumn background and canoe. Taken at Elk Creek Park, Oregon
[Double Exposure Project #2 – Oregon and San Diego Exposed] This is one of the images produced through double exposing a roll of film with my amazingly talented, generous, and dear friend Matt Adamik. This is our second attempt at working with this process and I am in love with every image yet again. Matt lives in Oregon and I live in San Diego. He shot the roll first, mailed it to me, and I shot over top his photos. Neither of us knew what the other was shooting. The results are astounding and breathtaking. And fun! We will be collaborating on many more double exposure projects in the very near future. A wonderful way to bring Oregon and San Diego together, as well as the styles and friendships of two photographers. I am absolutely in love with this type of photography! I highly recommend it for everyone. Thank you Matt for everything! Goggles Down!
