Some small orchids that have managed to flower though much neglect over Winter. They are only about 1.5cm in diametre. I was playing around with the image, and then decided to select Auto Levels, and this was the result after being very peachy coloured. Sadly I might neven replicate what I found quite appealling. I love Orchids. My camera was a Canon Rebel XTi with a Sigma 17-70mm lens and a Canon 430 shoe mount flash. / /

Not Half Bad Viewed Full Size This sweet little orchid was on my plate at lunch a few weeks back at a fabulous little restaurant near Annapolis, Maryland called Paul’s. The flower was supposed to be eaten … WHAT??? Well … don’t put an orchid in front of a woman with a camera and expect her to do anything but take pictures of it, lol!! Hope you enjoy!!! And yes, I brought it home with me and took even more pictures!!! Image taken on March 24, 2009 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens, hand held. Shutter 1/25, exp 0.00, aperture f/5.3, iso 200. I did use the SB400 bounce flash. Only post processing was slight cropping, cloning of imperfections on the petals and a crumb or two on the tablecloth.
