The faces are from various photos and were blended in with layer blend effects in Photoshop so that the textures of the leaves look like they’re following the contours of the faces. Basic picture is a forest floor in autumn.

This image was taken @ Port Willunga at the remains of the old jetty. On a recent journey back to Port Willunga recently, I’d noticed that many of these posts had been burnt. This is exactly how it looked in 1989. The ivy stays here year round. It’s weird, because it’s barren outside; winter. But when you step inside (which isn’t hard..you simply step through the wall) it looks like a summer day. Very odd & surreal feeling. Taken last week, standing in the basement looking up at the back door. More from the abandoned farmhouse series soon. :) And Happy New Year everyone!! / It’s 8:37 p.m. here. The Aos Sidhe (pronounced “ess shee”), are a powerful, supernatural race comparable to the fairies or elves of other traditions. / They live in an invisible world that coexists with the world of humans. / The Gaelic Otherworld is seen as being closer at the times of dusk and dawn, therefore this is seen as a time special to the Aos Sidhe, as are some of the festivals such as Samhain and Midsummer. The Aos Sidhe are generally described as stunningly beautiful, though they can also be terrible and hideous. I cursed myself for walking too deep into the forest and missing seeing the sunset from the view point high on the hillside like i intended, but the evening rays brought colour to the forest like I wouldnt have imagined. / The forest is very much still in green, but the backlighting from the sunset has given such warmth to the leaves. I may or may not have titled this after James Lapine’s Into the Woods for lack of originality ;) Taken on the way back from the Japanese Gardens yesterday. Due to the fact that it was pouring, I had to take it while driving. It was a bit dark and overcast, hence the 800 ISO.

by richie foxi am very happy i stumbled upon this today. (11 feb 2009) Here is some panels of the fence that i took close up photographs of. As you can see each panel of fence has a completly different pattern, colour and texture. I have a fair few photographs taken and I have been able to produce some fantastic pieces of art. I think it is a fantastic find!!! / This abstract image is a little part of someones garden fence! Every strip of fence had been weather treated, but all the strips were completly different. i took lots of pictures as there were so many fantastic different shots. The wood fence looks as if it had been coated with weather stain, then it looks like a coat of tar had been applied, then it looks like the treated areas of the fence were blistered by the sun, leaving behind a some wonderful abstract art! i think that this picture looks like the sea – a field – hills – horizon with trees on it. / im uploading this picture, and i may upload another. i have cropped this picture slightly. i have adjusted the brightness/ contrast/ hue and saturation a little bit also, just to bring out the brilliance of what i photographed.
