Dawn at Garie Beach, Royal National Park just south of Sydney, Australia. A seagull very obligingly flew into shot as I was taking this. Can you spot the silhouetted fishermen? / I’m lucky enough to live in one of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen – it’s only a little national park (14,000 ha) but the variety of stuff to photograph is simply endlessly inspiring. Late afternoon at Port Willunga South Australia. Looking out towards the setting sun through the remains of the Old Jetty structure. Not overly sure about the colours here, strange evening with orange red clouds and just dark enough to get a slight amount of motion in the foreground. Canon 400D, 18 -55 lens, CIR Polarising filter coupled with an ND4. Wet legs and a wet tripod, standing out in the water trying to avoid waves!!!!!!

Surfing just before dawn. The water color comes from the dawn light reflecting off high clouds in the sky. Canon 1Ds Mark II / 600 mm focal length / 1/15 second / f/4 / ISO 50 Panning and trying to keep the surfer in one spot in the frame produces the fluidity and quality to the water.
