This is truly what the sky outside my home looked like this afternoon as a huge rain storm moved in. I’ve seen some amazing skies here in the mountains of northern Utah, but this latest set of photos I have just shot today are really something! Oh yeh, I did plonk a moon into this, and of course, my latest dalliance, the lovely Crown Fritillary butterfly I decided to sit upon my pine tree outside the door! Hey, it was fun… ;-) I’m loving the rain storm…..

I don’t know what type of moss this is or even if it is moss, but I have never come accross moss with this orangey color. This was taken on June 7th, so the color change of Autumn do not apply. A bit odd. Taken in the woods around Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois. Who knows what those folks are experimenting with.

Was sitting in my car, watching the rain come down…. small droplets hung to the window…. i decided to try and photograph them… and this was the result… i found it interesting that the orangish glow from the street light reflected in all the droplets… and each droplet had a design within it…. thanks for looking at my photographs..
