  • “Don’t You Want Me” by the Human League is a conflicting male/female duet with the subject of jealousy and sexual obsession as the main theme. Its pop style has often led to a misinterpretion that it is a love song. The male part of the song is a svengali figure who turns a female waitress into a ‘star’, who then subsequently leaves him once she has obtained fame. Released in the UK on 5 December 1981 it went almost immediately to number one and remained in the UK charts for 13 weeks, and was Christmas number of that year. The single went on to sell 1.4 million copies in the UK and is the 25th most successful UK single of all time.

  • I hope you enjoy this pretty little butterfly that I took in my garden this past summer :) He didn’t seem to mind me poking around with my camera… I was glad of the opportunity! He didn’t stay long but I managed to get a few good shots! I adore the markings and colourings of his wings! Isn’t that red/orange colour just stunning! I’m very proud of this photo, I really love how it turned out. Looking back and my gallery from beginning to now, I can truly see how I have grown as a photographer and this fact makes me very happy and accomplished  Certainly I have a long way to go yet, but the nice thing about this hobby is that I am very passionate about it. Hopefully some day I can do something more with photography. That’ll be so amazing! Thanks to the investigative brilliance of a friend, I’ve found out the name of this pretty butterfly! It is called “American Lady – Vanessa virginiensis” They seem to be common to New England, though I am guessing generally on the East coast (since I’m in Virginia ^^;) and are under the category of “Anglewings” Camera: Taken with a Canon Rebel XTi / Cropping, small hue/tint adjustments + Sig: Adobe Photoshop CS2 © SilverDew All comments are welcomed and appreciated. • The City Gardens punk card was the monthly postcard with the various shows scheduled for the month. Anyone who claims to have been a part of the second generation punk scene (Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains) has fond memories of the City Gardens shows and the monthly mailing of the Punk Card. This version of the tee shirt has a random collection of bands from a variety of months between the early 80’s and mid 90’s. Featured bands include: Ramones, Damned, ALL, Screaming Blue Messiahs, GWAR, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Bouncing Souls, Rollins Band, Iggy Pop, DOA, Dickies, 7 Seconds, Circle Jerks, Agent Orange, Social Distortion, Killing Joke, Danzig and so many more!

  • Michael Jackson. The jacket was done in watercolour pencil (yes every dot was done individually!) and graphite pencil. One of only 3 originals in the world!! I decided to bring out a series, every set a different fashion stage in the world of Michael Jackson. This has worked perfectly after many hours of grafting. Original is available for purchase, please contact me for enquiries.

  • This abstract draft horse reminds me of a work horse my Granddad had when I was a kid, which was half of the team he used to pull the hay wagon. In those days, we still harvested the hay loose with pitchforks and loaded a huge pile on a wooden wagon with iron wheels. The horse was named Giant, and he was so gentle that five of us kids used to ride him bareback at the same time with just a rope looped around his lower jaw, Indian style.
