A small blue house in the middle of Autumn
Digital artwork created in Photoshop CS3 by layering several original photographs of sections of old farm equipment and a weathered painted wood wall and door with lock. Each layer was blended in a different way. Some, by exclusion, others by muliplication, and still others by overlay. Layers that did not work were deleted.
The Auckland metropolitan area or Greater Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand, is the largest urban area of the country. It is also New Zealand’s most populous city with approximately 1.3 million residents, over a quarter of the country’s population, and demographic trends indicate that it will continue growing faster than the rest of the country. Auckland also has the largest Polynesian population of any city in the world.Auckland lies between the Hauraki Gulf of the Pacific Ocean to the east, the low Hunua Ranges to the south-east, the Manukau Harbour to the south-west, and the Waitakere Ranges and smaller ranges to the west and north-west. The central part of the urban area occupies a narrow isthmus between the Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea and the Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the few cities in the world to have harbours on two separate major bodies of water.(Wikipedia.org)
Kingfishers are small unmistakable bright blue and orange birds of slow moving or still water. They fly rapidly, low over water, and hunt fish from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water’s surface. They are a vulnerable to hard winters and habitat degradation through pollution or unsympathetic management of watercourses.

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.” Mark 13:28,29 / [Jesus speaking to Peter, James, John and Andrew regarding the day He will return to the Earth. If you wish to know what else Jesus told us regarding that day, see the entire 13th chapter of Mark and 24th chapter of Matthew] I took this photo when the summer sun had just risen and was casting a golden glow….promising another hot humid day….NJ, USA, August 2009
