Todd Kelly, of the Holden Racing Team, in action at the Oran Park round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship.
Therefore, in protest, I’m going streaking! I’ll put my clothes back on when the economy picks up again, when gas prices go back down to where I can still get change if I give the attendant $20, when Honda makes that zero-emission water vapor car affordable and available to the public, when violence in the Middle East stops (or heck, at least LESSENS a bit), when an airplane ticket doesn’t cost so much, when real Muslims actually stand up and DO/SAY something about those suicidal, violent assholes that act like they represent the true face of Islam, when Christians actually start acting more like Jesus and less like the Pharisees who crucified Him, when people in California actually learn how to F^&$ing drive on the freeway, when they put REAL MUSIC back on MTV and VH1 instead of all those dumb reality shows, when ALL those so-called “reality” TV shows get canceled, when people are less obsessed with the lives of celebrities and more focused on issues that matter, and when the stupid military junta in Myanmar can finally tell the difference between a helping hand and a death threat! *image inspired by the work of Robert Knapman and Oran

Now this is how you should take corners!! / This particular shot was a couple of the guys having some fun between the races. / / My first time photographing at the car races. / I wasn’t sure of what settings to use for this so, with 348 shots, at different camera settings, many ending up on the ‘cutting room floor’, I have some that I can show to you. / The lighting changed from sunlight to cloudy off & on during the day. When it was cloudy the photos were a little dark, so perhaps I should have changed the ISO or the EV?? / I’ll put the exif info. Anyone who wishes to give advice on this type of photography. Please feel free. Nikon D200 / 18-200 VR lens / Shutter priority / f5.6 / 1/1000 shutter / ISO 100 / 0.0 ev / focal length 170 mm / Continuous focus / Dynamic area autofocus Single photo X 5 HDR for this one as it was a little darker.

Oran Park on Day 1. This Mustang lost control and spun around to hit the tire wall at speed. Driver was ok but the mustang had to be towed as it had a broken drive shaft. D3+300mmVR f/2.8 /
Taken at Oran Park last year. It was the last time the V8’s were going to race there. A sad time for them.

You can tell I have blue oval eyes can’t you. / These are one of my favourite cars. We used to own a diamond white Phase2 GTHO. Yeah. I said used to. One of the biggest mistakes we ever mad was to sell it. / I tried a slower shutter speed & had to pan as well for this shot.
