The lone baby cardinal in the nest is growing by leaps and bounds. I’ve named the little mite Teensy and watch everyday as Dad and Mom take such good care of their pride and joy. Unfortunately, Teensy’s sibling is no longer in the nest; I don’t know if predators got it, if it fell out, if it just died from weakness, or what. I don’t want to go and look inside the nest as Teensy is very sensitive and fearful at this stage. Teensy is a little over a week old. This is a very precarious time for Teensy; I’m hoping and praying all will go well with this tiny bird’s life as only about one-third of nestings end successfully.

with my “book”... / ... * / Voici la première image prise pendant que je travaillais sur mes plaques de zinc. 88 petites plaques de 10×15 cm. / Elles sont à la fois support à la gravure pour un livret… mais surtout elles serviront comme pages d’un livre objet, livre unique. / Ce projet a commencé par une série de photos que j’ai placées ici-même depuis quelques mois : Open Red in a square / Mes plaques reprennent cette série d’images tout en prenant une liberté. Peu à peu les images se transforment et de petits détails incongrus se trouvent peu à peu mêlés à l’image initiale. / La face non gravée reçoit un transparent imprimé en rouge… Le tout placé dans une boîte… / mais pour l’instant je n’en dirai pas plus… Here is the first picture taken while I was working on my sheets of zinc. 88 / small plates of 10×15 cm. / They are both support “gravure” for a book … but they / serve as pages of a book subject, single book. / The project began with a series of photos that I placed here in the past few / month: Open Red in a square / My plates resume this series of images while taking a liberty. Slowly / images are transformed and incongruous details are gradually mixed with / the original image. / The deal is not etched foil printed in red … All within a box … / but for now I will say no more … A bientôt sur Redbubble en l’an 2009 !!! / :)
