A lone pelican standing in the shallow waters north of the Kingscote Pier. He was a good guy, he walked right up to me … within 10metres. Both of us enjoyed our time, but I really enjoyed capturing these photographs! Yes, this has been manipulated to reveal the details of the beak and blow-out the background. Ropes on the Kingscote pier for the dinghy’s. Whilst I waiting for the Pelican-man to arrive, I stood out on the pier with half the audience wondering what I was doing. This image is the result of shooting with a “Canon EOS 400D” with “Canon EF Zoom 75-300mm 4-5.6mm III”, then manipulated in GIMP to this monochrome format.
