The moon’s been dropped into a celestial pool and is slowly sinking, deeper and deeper, deeper down. The free Water Ripples filter from Redfield Plug-ins was used to create the pool effect in Photoshop. I applied it to a uniformly blue layer on to which I had pasted my shot of an inverted colour-matched moon. I then burned in the edges.

Sunset over the Coorong National Park South Australia. The remains of an old stock fence stand out now with the extremely low tides created by a lack of water to the bottom end of the mighty River Murray. Human impact slowly being devoured by nature…. Best viewed large…

Once upon a time, in a land far away a new baby was being born. Swan looked with amazement but could not quite believe what she was seeing…..... A photomontage, created in Photoshop. I would like to thank Wolfwind / for the image of the beautiful swan.

Some of you know these old guys so well by now from former visits. But I am sure you will not mind revisiting these lovely beech-trees under the very different circumstances on a September morning with really thick mist. / As I enthousiastically told somebody whom I met a bit later: mist like this makes nature a photographer´s paradise! There are few things which make me jump out of bed in the morning these days, I am afraid to say. The mist of this morning did it! And I was not sorry for it! Not at all. The forest between Hilversum and Lage Vuursche proved to be a great shooting ground again. I am sure you shall see more of it. Hiking again, close to home, down a narrow country lane, I discovered this derelict cottage …. love the timber frame, I think the corrugated roof may have been quite noisy in our rainy climate !!
