The gorgeous Cash. Four layers: monotone image of Cash which had been softened, sky layer, texture, fire. / The interpretation of what it means to dream of a horse: / To see a horse in your dream, symbolizes strength, power, endurance, virility and sexual prowess. It also represents a strong, physical energy. You need to tame the wild forces. If the horse is white, then it signifies purity, prosperity and good fortunes. / / / /

The moon’s been dropped into a celestial pool and is slowly sinking, deeper and deeper, deeper down. The free Water Ripples filter from Redfield Plug-ins was used to create the pool effect in Photoshop. I applied it to a uniformly blue layer on to which I had pasted my shot of an inverted colour-matched moon. I then burned in the edges.

How different are the colours in the present winter forest here: just brown and black and grey and a little bit of green somewhere. So when I returned from my wet Sunday morning bike trip just now, I did long for the colour green again. And so I dig up this old shot, bringing my – and hopefully your – minds into a greener world. This dreamful scene of a very peaceful beechtree grove was taken near Laage Vuursche on a lovely slightly hazy day in early October 2007. You could hear the elves whisper behind the trees … Near Laage Vuursche, 4th October 2007, 9.13 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 48 mm / F 10, 1/5, ISO 1000
Fractal art. There are some memories that you will cherish forever. There are some memories you wish you could just forget. Then there are those that will slowly fade away into the echoes of time. / © Dave Moilanen
This work reminds me of the travelling to the moon period and finding new planets and stars. / I created this fractal artwork with the 3d program Incendia and did some post-work with PSP and Photoshop. I am happy with this first result I hope you too. Designer: Thea Walstra / CanDuCreations / /
The platform of the old Coonawarra railway Station. Overgrown and disused but still bearing the hallmark name of the region. For those few of you who have never heard of Coonawarra it is THE premium red wine region of Australia. Blood red soil over limestone in perfect growing climate. Near Penola in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Cannon 400D, 3 shot HDR 18/55 converted to B&W in CS3.
Once upon a time in October a prince rode down a forest lane, in search of the enchanted castle. It was a lane of wonderful high beech-trees. Surely it would lead him to something special. What was hidden in the haze at its end … ? I do not know what kind of associations this lane triggers with you. Mine are quite imaginative, as you can see. But what about the special place this lane is leading to? Though it does not lead straight up to it, at its end, somewhat hidden in a beautiful garden on the right, you find indeed an old country-house, named Pijnenburg. Its grounds are private, so I alas never have managed to get a decent picture of it. But at least the lanes are open for everyone to enjoy them to the full.
