They look lovely / They have a long journey ahead. Misunderstood and persecuted, they are a tough lot, and will be around a long time after you and me.
Sometimes you have take a little risk to get the shot you’re after. Fortunately my camera survived, barely.
Wild flowers lead the eye to a small house an ominous clouds
Took this one in Glasgow – separate entrances for boys and girls. I was imagining how young children felt as they entered this scary building and used the angle to capture from a child’s perspective. The clouds added a very ominous look to the scene. Tried this one in B&W – seems to have more impact than the colour version.
Guess my head is in the clouds these days. Probably from being in the mountains during the past weekend. Taken Wednesday May 21st/08 as an impending storm circulated the Lake of Two Mountains, Deux-Montagnes, Qyuebec, Canada!
Corio Bay, Geelong, on a cold, still morning.

On the second day we were in Punta Cana, a storm rolled in and eventually turned the horizon black. This was taken about an hour before but the warning of wind, rain and darkness were already present in the early afternoon. Such a dark, ominous scene, Taken Juno Beach Nature Walk, the foggiest very early sunrise of our winter. / Came to mind, one of my all time favorite Roy Orbison Tunes Roy Orbison – Crying with K.D. Lang / Roy always sang the hell out of this song, with KD they took it to the sky! / Nikon D300, Nikkor VR18-200 lens, Handheld.
this was taken in antwerp in brussels. the clouds were so ominous and foreboding in such a way it looked almost surreal out of a horror movie or something.
Collaboration with dinghysailor1 / A collaboration with my great RB friend, the talented Photographic Artist dinghysailor1. I had discussed the possibility of working together to make a few images and Maggie was very keen. She went out and took a handful of superb shots of very historic landmarks in Scotland, based on a list of subject matter I was interested in using for a photo-manipulation – things that sparked my imagination. Then I lost my editing program, and as a consequence, a lot of my motivation to create anything. But I got a replacement program recently, and just finished this artwork today. I’m very pleased to have her as an RB friend and it’s great to work together ! :)) Here is Maggie’s Original Photograph / To view Maggie’s excellent Portfolio visit dinghysailor1 Here’s a photograph I took of the moon recently and used in this Artwork / Featured in the AW Welcome Center on Sunday 23/8/2009 / Thank you to all the Moderators for the feature !
This is just for dinghysailor1 to see – if you have already commented on the Original Version please don’t feel like you need to comment on this modified version. :) As requested by Maggie, here is a special version of the original edit – minus the little planet / moon that was on the right in the other version uploaded a few days ago.

This is one of the power and telephone pole across the road from my house. Being so close to home it has taken me over a year to pick up the camera, walk to my front gate and take a photo of it! Added a viewfinder texture to the shot and three filters, blue, green and cooling.
