Remake of an oldtimer classic, in the the style of a Mondrain painting. / Original had blue bodywork. Redone in PShop. / Not sure what the make is, can anyone identify this car?
Picturesque house rusty old volvo amazon / I was struck by the amount of color in this otherwise grey suburban-street. /
Shot this during filming my documentary, Farragut: A Naval Legacy. This was during the flag raising ceremony at the Navy Veterans Reunion. Farragut Naval Training Station was the second largest boot camp during WWII and graduated over 400,000 recruits. These returning veterans are my heroes, as are all military veterans. (My dad went to boot camp here and I have two sons in the Navy) This was taken at Farragut State Park, in North Idaho (best camping anywhere!). View the documentary at my website cinemavaljean

A town crier is a person who is employed by a town council to make public announcements in the streets. The crier can also be used in court or official announcements. Criers often dress elaborately, by a tradition dating to the 18th century, in a red and gold robe, white breeches, black boots and a tricorne hat. They carry a handbell to attract people’s attention, as they shout the words “Oyez, Oyez, Oyez!” before making their announcements. The word “Oyez” means “hear ye,” which is a call for silence and attention. Oyez derives from the Anglo-Norman word for listen. The proclamations book in Chester from the early 19th century records this as O Yes, O Yes! Info from Wikipedia.. First drinks for 92 years it said. But despite that the hotel is in superb condition and displayed inside a vast amount of information about Steiglitz. Infrared with HDRish treatment using PSP and Topaz. It was ‘Back to Steiglitz’ Day and a cracker of a day too. If you ever wanted to experience that wonderful feeling of closeness and fellowship that is so often missing from everyday city life, then this was the place to be. Steiglitz is a great place full of warm and charming people and most definitely worth a visit or two (or even three or four!)
