  • This old FRAMO built until 1957 in Hainichen and Frankenberg, Germany and was one of the sights on a phototour I took with some other photographers from my photoclub. Taken in Steinfurt, Germany.

  • A close up of the front of the old girl in “Past It”. Although seeing as she is “Austin” perhaps it should be the old boy!!

  • A very old analouge negative taken on Boxing Day some twenty odd years ago. This girl was living with my younger sister in Darlinghurst in Sydney at the time and yes there were drugs involved. Neither of them survived the experience. All I have left is some very old photo’s and my memories. To death us do drug. Was that a challenge, a motto or a promise. I could never work it out.

  • I was coming home yesterday from an appointment downtown, / and happened to look over and see this place. It was completely / abandoned, along with garages, a barn and cars. Didn’t go in, (yet..heh) but I got a few good shots from the front. I added the flood..(to go with the title.) / / CS3/Corel/handheld/Samsung/HDR / I can’t even begin to list all of the things I did to this. / One filter conversion to the next applying and painting certain areas with the saturation brush, then repeating the process + / overlays & more fine tuning! Thanks for checking it out. :) / / / Special thanks to Kevin Kroeker for being a major inspiration with HDR. You can check out some of his truly amazing HDR work here: click me!

  • This house was built in 1929 in the Prairie’s of Manitoba…and is of a time almost gone…when every family worked the land to stay alive, well fed, and healthy. From a time when we were forced to reckon with Mother Earth just to survive on a basic level. The Prairie lifestyle is almost lost…being replaced with suburbs and expanding cities. The wildlife forced to retreat or be removed when they are a nuisance. Bears and deer are becoming scarce.Once upon a time the earth was our life and she cries out for repair….with every passing year in the Prairies there are fewer and fewer working the land to survive. A way of life lost…. ** / My Father In-laws childhood home…I found out last week that this was torn down 2 wks after this shoot…we had no idea this was going to happen…...

  • The shipwreck at Woody Point, Queensland.

  • My old trusty Delfin once more. It was rather the weather and the sky that attracted my this time.

  • Another shot of my much photographed old wreck the ‘Good hope’, this old wreck lies at Skippool creek that runs into the River Wyre estuary in Lancashire… / Skippool is full of abandoned, dilapidated and some working boats and is great for photography. / Shot with a Nikon D70s and 10-20mm Sigma lens.. /

  • Another shot of my Favourite wreck GOOD HOPE, shot down at Skippool creek at Poulton le fylde which leads into the River Wyre on the coast of Lancashire England. / Skippool has an assortment of boats , from total wrecks like this one to working boats and pleasure craft, once a bustling little port, hundreds of years ago.. / Shot witha nikon D70s and 18-70mm lens /

  • After I demonstrated a few wave painting techniques, I later thought to join them up into a painting! A Spontaneous watercolour! Watercolour 14” x 10” on Bockingford rough 140lb. So far, nobody has spotted the little men in white shirts, clinging for life, to the torn-off mast (left side of painting). I’ve entered this into Impressionism Cafe,‘seascapes’

  • Remains of a wreck shot at fleetwood marsh nature reserve in lancashire. / 5shot Raw file HDR tonemapped image. / Shot with a Nikon D200 and a Sigma 10-20mm lens.

  • On a recent visit to the Isle Of Mull in Scotland while driving around the island i spotted thes old fishing boats that dont seem to have been used for some time. One shot hand held. 3 images made in CS2 then merged to HDR and tonemapped in Photomatix Pro. Levels, curves and saturation adjusted in CS2.

  • I wonder who it was that left this beautiful old car behind in the middle of no where? This mystery is what I love about these old wrecks, so many bits and pieces taken from the old girl, maybe to help another breakdown get going again? This beautiful wreck was about 50 klms out of Mildura, on the way to Mungo National Park, on the unsealed and rough road. Canon 50D, 15mm. Available large, and best viewed large!

  • canon 5d mk ii 16-35 lens

  • It’s a British Bedford.

  • I captured this around six years back, when we were doing a road trip of the South West. Jerome is a great place, full of character. We stumbled upon Joe’s place by accident – he calls it a ghost town, but it is rather more a collection of old automobiles and other machinery, a great place for a photographer – he has some rather quirky items dotted around the yard ! / Photographed in the heat of the afternoon sun, the light was not at its best for this subject, so I Ortoned and Textured it, to create a better feel. / You Tube do some great tutorials on Photoshop editing etc., including some on textures ! / VIEW LARGE for the details ! / I scanned a Fuji Velvia transparency with my Nikon Coolscan V ED, shipped it into Adobe PS CS3, where I cleaned the image up a bit with the spot removal tool. Then I played around with the Orton and textures until I was happy with the result. / It was shot on a Ricoh KR10 Super, mounted on a tripod, with polarising filter, f22. /
